My 4 year old loves to play and learn with his coding puppy. Going step by step, he has started making obstacles courses for it to get through. It was easy to set up and get started. 3 AAA batteries are required.
This is a really cute toy. Fun to program. Bought it to use as a preschool toy/teaching opportunity with grandson. He is 3 yo, and loves the toy, but the "coding" part is limited to simple commands. His 6 yo sister, however, absolutely LOVES it, and had no problem programming fairly sophisticated commands. She thinks its a hoot!
My 4 year old absolutely loves this coding game! It really gave her a challenge at first. Lots of critical thinking involved. Her younger sister definitely didn't understand the concept but 4 and up is a perfect age range. I'll definitely add this to the list of toys we buy for her friends birthday parties! We have never played with a toy like this before but this was totally awesome.
I received the learning resources coding Critters Ranger and zip toy free from Buzzagent #free for my honest review I really liked that these toys are educational fun for the whole family my five-year-old enjoyed playing with Ranger and Zip. What a great educational toy I would highly recommend this to any parents of children ages 4 and up bright colors great quality
My son loves this kit! We sat and created senarios for Ranger to eat, play and "find" Zip. The kit comes with everything (except batteries) that your child will need - even a story book! The kit enables your child to figure out how many "clicks' to get to a certain point; how to maneuver around obsticles and how to "fetch" the ball and little Zip. Makes for a great imagination tool and story development capabilities and can be run easily on most floor or table surfaces but has a little difficulty on carpet. Great fun!
I recieved the Learning Resources Coding Critters Ranger and Zip #free from #bzzagent in exchange for my honest review. The ranger and zip coding critter introduced my daughter to coding. It comes with a story book to follow along with as you code the puppy. There are 4 arrows on the puppies back to press to code different direction you want him to go. He is even dances! It also comes with a little friend, ball doghouse and bone and seesaw. This is really a good starter for learning how to code. My daughter really enjoys playing with it. I reccomend it.
This was the cutest little toy I've seen on the market in a long time. It was interactive and made for a family fun evening. From the toddler all the way to us parents. Very well constructed, the instructions are super easy to understand, and the whole concept is great!
My daughter absolutely loves this toy. ! Seriously. She tries to bathe with it. She is 3 yrs old. She loves her "pets". And tries to feed them. Its so cute. I will be buying her the other sets. It helps her to learn directions and left and right so far.
My daughter loved the dog and puppy and that it moved on it's own. She didn't really play the game but she loved playing with the pieces. She sat in out kitchen floor for over an hour playing with the pieces. My daughter is eight and I feel the educational part is a little under her age range but as a toy she loved it. My neighbor brought her four year old son over and he loved it and enjoyed the game and educational part of the product.
The whole product was absolutely adorable, easy to set up, and fun to play with. My daughter understood the concept right away and plays with it everyday. The only thing I would change is the size of the tree trunk because it bent easily and I had to tape it to keep it standing up. Perfect toy!
