Learning Resources Gears! Gears! Gears! Robot Factory Building Set, STEM Building Set for Kids, Ages 4+

These are a hit in my third grade classroom! I got it as an add on to a gear set I had that the students loved. They loved the additional pieces.

Our four year old grandson loves this set of building pieces, especially when his GrandDad participates with him. Great way to encourage creativity, planning and designing a working model.

The Robot Factory Building Set has provided many hours of entertainment for both of my children! The vibrant box set the tone to peek their curiosity the moment they saw it. They couldn't dive into it fast enough! I always appreciate when toys are built sturdy and made to last since children are not always the most gentle with their toys but this one certainly stands up to that challenge. I am not sure who had more fun creating, me or the kids. I loved watching my daughter come up with really creative ways to make her robots. It is exciting to watch their little minds work and the pride in their eyes once they have completed their creation. I highly recommend this product to anyone who has a child who likes to build, create and work with their hands. Learning Resources is my go to company any time I am looking for a product that is fun as well as educational! They never disappoint!

I received this product as part of the incentive review program. It is so much fun! My son and I played for hours. He especially loves the springs. I love that the stickers allow for customization. My son is very particular about his things and getting to decorate his own toys is awesome for him! Not only is this product fun, but also provides a great way to play learning games. You can identify shapes, colors, times, and even patterns to disguise learning as play! Definitely 10/10, would recommend, and fell in love with.

My 5 y/o loved this set! Her kindergarten class has the same set, so she knew exactly what to do. She actually showed me how to put the gears together. She will play w/it for an hour at a time. My 2 y/o also enjoyed playing w/the gears and trying to put them together. Excellent STEM toy for girls and boys!

My kids loved this toy being a parent of a 4 year old little boy and a 6 year old special needs child it can be hard to find toys to withstand the hard abuse a special needs child can put on a toy this toy is full of colorful parts that bring a child's attention right to it also is very well made and easy to use I would recommend this toy for kids 3 and up but for little one some adult supervision

I have tried this gear set with kindergarten, first grade, and second grade students. Each age group as been able to independently discover how the pieces work together, create all different types of structures with the gears, and work together to problem solve when they need to make adjustments to their creations. There were cheers and smiles all around when I showed each class the set and let them explore. The students are loving this gear set. The additional pieces of the robots was very engaging to all the age groups listed above. One of the things I like best about this set is that it provides the students a chance to work together and problem solve to improve their creations. I also love that because there are so many different ways the pieces can work together, the students get the opportunity to practice the skills of creating, celebrating when their creation works, and then take apart what they made to try something new. The directions that come with this kit are particularly helpful because of the colorful step by step pictures that guide students through creating the image on the front of the box. I do wish that the product came with more building pieces like the 100 pieces gear sets so that the students could have more opportunity to expand their building ideas.

I received this product as part of an incentivized review program. I am an elementary school teacher that is always looking for educational toys. This toy is great for children who love to build and enjoy figuring out how things work. The packaging was clear and the product looked just like the photograph. I already have the Gears! Gears! Gears! Deluxe building kit and love that those pieces fit with this kit. This kit is great since it has the cranes and robot parts instead of just multi colored gears. The colors of the kit art vibrant and attractive, they are not gender specific. The inclusion of the activity guide is great so that kids can have some building direction if they like. There is no need for instructions as the kit and parts are fairly self explanatory. Recently my school had a STEM night and one station used this kit and the kids absolutely loved interacting with this toy. I would recomend this for parents and teachers. It is a great STEM learning resource for cause and effect and critical thinking.

We played with this toy with our 2 year old son and 5 year old nephew. They loved getting to put the stickers on (thought the really skinny ones we had to get a pencil to get them in the little grooves). The instructions were a little challenging at these ages since some of the parts have to go in a specific way, but it was helpful to have pictures vs. needing to have kiddos that can read - this gave them some more independence in the process. It also gives them room to grow with the toy to actually build it like the front picture! The packaging is sturdy and colorful and will be used to house the pieces when not in use. Our son has literally asked to play with them nightly and while he doesn't quite get it to look like the picture, he does love getting to see how the gears work, likes to stick the robot pieces into all of the holes to see what fits/what doesn't, and to put the robot bodies together and take them apart. I would definitely recommend this product - the colors are engaging you don't have to do it a specific way so the kids can have some creative liberties and the pieces are the right size for small hands!

Two pieces of feedback: 1. The stickers were not that easy to put on because adult fingers do not fit in some of the pieces where the sticker goes 2. The instructions do not allude if the play is free form or if you should copy the picture shown on the box
