The packaging of of the Let's Go Code! set is eye catching and got my students attention right way. The box is great for storage as well. The directions were visible right when you open the box and very helpful to understand what the different cards mean. The directions are clear and come with very helpful pictures. It was very simple to start playing with the kit. Let's Go Code! is vibrant and durable. The only down side is that colorful squares the students step on while they are coding get dirty easily. I like that the squares are made of a squishy material, but there is no easy way to clean them. The students loved getting to do the walking of the coding sequences as well as being the one to create the coding sequence. This toy gave my students the opportunity to put their coding skills to work and act out coding in real life. I would recommend this product to anyone who is interested in giving their students or children the experience of coding.
This set is very deceiving as it says it is for K and up. That makes people think it is just for primary aged students. However, I recently went to a conference where adults were using it and it was complicated. You can make this work for any age by adding more complex tasks. It is a great kinethetic intro to coding.

A fun way to introduction coding, a perfect pair with code and go mouse! Can be used over and over with many different solutions and is non consumable! A great way for. Hiked R.E.M. To learn and get up and moving around and become engaged!
A great introduction coding. Can be used over and over with many different solutions and is non consumable! Kids become part of the "code" and are super engaged!
This is a great resources to introduce students into coding. Helps them understand that every motion has to be plugged in. Helps them to be creative and learn to problem solve!
I am a teacher who teaches both art and STEM. I received this game as part of a incentivised review program. I think that the game is great for elementary students in grades K- in learning how to code. I had my niece(1st grade) and nephew(preK/K) try out the game and they had fun instructing eachother on how to get to the robot. My sister home schools her kids so she loved this game as a way to have her kids get familiar with how to code. The game looks just like the package it comes in. The cards are durable enough and are clean and bright in color, making the game more interesting for kids. The fact that kids get to move around while playing is also a huge plus! I found that both my niece and nephew were interested in playing the game so it is not gender specific.
This game was pretty cool when my two kids (girls ages 11 and 7) played it together. My older daughter already "gets" coding, but my younger doesn't. She had fun following her sister's instructions and beginning to understand the whole process of how you can tell a computer what to do. It is a great tool for helping young kids understand why coding is relevant and piqued her interest. It also reignited the spark my older child had lost in regards to coding and now she also wants to learn more. We haven't had the chance to play it more than a handful of times, but so far it seems like a good introduction to the whole process.
I choose this activity as part of an incentive review program and thought it would be a fun and easy way to teach my 4yo, going on 5yo, how to code and it was definitely a challenge for me to explain it to her. We did the sample mazes from the directions and it was fun once she understood what each symbol meant. I would think an older kid would be better suited.
I received this product as part of an incentivized toy review program. I intended to use it with my 6 year old daughter, but I will say that it was a little too simple for her. (With a husband with a career in computer science, we had already introduced her to the basics of coding.) This game is actually perfect for my 4 year old son, and we have been playing it with him. I would highly recommend it for anyone just starting to introduce coding to their kids. It's a great visual to the concepts, and the kids like moving through the mazes they create. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars because for the intended age of 5-7, I wish they included important coding functions such as the "loop", or the "if...then..." for a more advanced way of playing.
