The letters are exactly as they are pictured. However, with the letters being very hard plastic I thought they would be a little bit more durable. The first night my son had them one of the letters chipped, and it wasn't because it was thrown or rough play. Some of the letters have rough edges because how they are made. I knew it is a chance you take with hard plastic so I do not have a regret buying them. My son loves letters and they are safer for him because of the size, and not wood with the paint chipping off. I love how they are block letters so you can stack them, helps my son even more with motor skills.
love the size and quality of these blocks. My granddaughter really enjoy them.
These are great for toddlers to use for learning the alphabet. They're sturdy and can be used in water play or sand play too.
This is also a Christmas gift but as a grandmother and educater, I look forward to using play dough to cut out letters and create so many wonderful things letters bring to a toddlers life.
It was a good toy, but pretty expensive
As a mother of four children and a preschool teacher, I have many alphabet sets. I have magnets and cards and books and stamps of all sorts that are alphabet letters. I was initially drawn to this particular set because of how much it reminded me of "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom", but then I discovered how versatile it is. These chunky block-letter, letter blocks come in five different colors; red, orange, green, blue and purple. One side is smooth and the opposite side is hollow. They are made of sturdy plastic and have a blue canvas bag to carry and store them in. The hallow side of the blocks can be used for stamping with ink or paint or play doh as well. (My children found out very quickly how easy it is to clean play doh out of the hallow side!) The letters can be used to spell out words horizontally or be stacked on top of one another building letter towers and later word towers. My kids do love to get out their copy of "Chick Chick Boom Boom" and match the letter blocks to the letters in the book! This is a cute and fun set.
This is fun toy that can be used in or out of water, in schools or at the beach! Bright and colorful, these letter blocks are loads of fun learning letters with play-do, sand, and even by themselves. A great tool for any teacher to have on-hand in daycare or pre-school.
These blocks are appealing with great color and easy storage bag. These blocks are used for spelling the alphabet. These blocks are sturdy and a nice size, easy enough for a child to hold but not eat and sallow. They are great for a classroom because you can use them to trace or to use in play foam. Overall these blocks are wonderful for teaching!
We used the Letter Blocks to teach the children their alphabet. We also used the letters to teach the children how to spell. This set is good because it has more than one set of letters. For example, if you wanted to spell APPLE, you could because their are more than one P so they children learned to trace the stamps and spell all at the same time.
My 3 year old loves playing with this item. Rather it be picking out the letters or color sorting them, she is always thinking with it. The only thing I would say to change the storage bag as it comes open very easy and my daughter had a hard time closing it by herself.
