My 5yr old absolutely loves the Learning Resources Math Scramble game. This is a really unique and educational games for young kids. My son is really good in math and this game has really helped to increase his interest in basic addition and subtraction. It's similar to the word scrabble game and instead of words you have to use the numbers you get to play. Your kid can play this game alone but 2 or more people would really make this game more interesting. The small number/sign tiles are kid friendly. The best thing is that this game is really travel friendly and you don't need to carry a huge board or big puzzles/tiles with you. I would definitely recommend this game for kids who are well versed with numbers and love mathematics.
My daughter got this thanks to bzzagent . She's turning 7 and loves all things learning so when she opened the box and seen it was a game she was super excited . At first she played by instructions but then she just did her own thing which is a nice thing . After she ran out she would come and get one of us to see if her math was right .
This is a great educational game for younger kids to get addition and subtraction practice. The option for 1 player up to 4 is a great way to include a wide range of ways for kids to play and learn. The storage egg is a great way to keep everything stored together in one place without taking up much space. All in all I love this its simple and fun kids love it.
Excellent skill building, equation developing Scrabble-like game.
This game is a little too advanced for my 4 year old right now, but I'm sure he will like it once he understands math concepts a little more.
Both of my girls (6&3) really like this, I am always looking for new educational games. My only downside I really saw with this is there are no number zeros. The game pieces are very durable as they are plastic vs most are cardboard with educational games. My kiddos have played with it daily since we rect it in the mail. Can't wait to try some more educational games by this company.
I received Educational Insights Learning Resources Math Scramble for free in exchange for my honest review. Personally, I liked this game and found it to be a fun way to work on addition and subtraction skills. However, my daughter, who is 5, did not really have the patience to play a full game. She got bored with the game easily, which could have been because the game was a bit too easy for her. However, as a parent and an educator, I think this an engaging, hands-on way to reinforce math skills.
This product is great for teaching young children addition and subtraction. My daughter loved the eggs and bacon theme and had a blast counting out the answers to different equations!
I have a 3 and 5 year old so we are just starting the process of learning how to add and subtract. The design of this game is so cute and I love how all of the pieces can fit in the egg(I wish more games were like this!). The little tiles are really easy to manipulate which is nice for little hands. What I loved was that my Little could learn with the tiles even though some of the games were a little advanced. We started by just making number sentences but soon realized there are no Zeros!! As an elementary school educator, this seemed like a really silly omission as it made it impossible to make "10" or talk about adding zero. Other than that, I'd recommend the game. It's simple and easy to fit to your family's level of math skill. Happy Mathing!
I think the concept is good, but my 5 year old was bored pretty quickly with this and I wouldn't say it kept his attention very long.
