I wasn't sure he would understand the concepts but he sure did. He is able to look at the cards by himself and play but most of the time I play with him because of The small pieces. This Mini Farmstand by Learning Resources is such a cute way to teach the kids so many skills. Helps with colors, counting, sorting while it feels like we're playing games. The cards give instructions on what problem we should solve. The play pieces are the perfect size for their little fingers and small enough to store easily. The little pieces fit in a pull out drawer on the farmstand which makes it safer and out of sight for the younger kids. The toy is made out of plastic which makes it easy to wipe off. Selfishly I like pulling this toy out to play with the kids while I know I'm helping them learn.

I absolutely love this set! I gave it to my daughter for Easter and she was thrilled just seeing it in the box. Once we opened it, she had so much fun checking out all the different pieces. There is a lot of variety, from produce to prepared foods to money (and everything fits well in the secret drawer in back!). The cards are thought-provoking and provide a helpful start for adult/kid play and education—that isn't something I've seen with a lot of kids' toys, and I really like the idea since it's hard sometimes to come up with my own ideas for making play more compelling. Plus, the whole thing is just adorable!

All the children love this toy. It was a little bigger than expected. The peices are hard but have a rubber texture to them that's nice. All the girls use the food to play with Barbies and baby dolls while the boys love to feed there toy dinosaurs and sharks. This toys keeps them busy for a while! I would definitely recommend this toys!

I have used this with an individual preschooler and a small group of three. The cards that come with it give you a number of useful ways to keep the kids engaged. Not only did each child act as a shopper, it's the perfect size for 18" dolls to shop as well. We used the dolls to incorporate new ways to play. I understand that it was meant to be used with one child but adding additional dollars would have worked when "buying" more items from the stand. Would recommend for kids ages 3.5-6.

I used this toy with my son to teach him the colors and also different fruits and vegetables. It was so cute and small for his little hands. He enjoys playing with it and always asks to play with it. I wish it came with a bag to keep the small pieces all together! I didn't like the cardboard papers. It's very educational and perfect for my son who is 3.5 years young now.

My toddler was so excited about this toy! He loved sorting the pieces by color but his favorite feature of the toy was the hidden drawer. He loved loading and unloading it. He was self entertained by this toy for over an hour at a time. I thought the toy was visibly appealing and high quality.
