Snap-n-Learn Number Bugs (age 2+) My kids (age 8 and 6) love these bugs. The bugs come in three parts a head and the body is in two parts. The head of each bug has one number zero through five on it. The body parts have dots on each side that add up to the number on the head. Each bug is a bright color (green, orange, red, blue, yellow, and purple). The bugs are easy to put together and stay together for other play as well. My 6 year old snapped the bugs together very quickly according to color but struggled when I told him he needed at least two different body parts to equal the head number. After he changed gears into putting the bugs together with addition he got very quick with it and wanted more bugs and higher numbers. To say the least he was disappointed that the bugs only went up to the number five. I as a parent would have like to see the bugs go up to the number 10 or even 20. Overall I think that this product is a success and will hold up to hard play when kids use them for other play activities. Two thumbs up from my kids!
These bugs are super cute and chunky, great for little hands, and easy for little ones to put together all on there own. You get a total of 18 pieces that when put together they equal 6 bugs, with numbers ranging from 0 to 5, and the colors are purple, yellow, orange, red, blue and green. Every bug has a number on it's head and coordinating number of dot's on it's back. I also like the container it comes in, perfect for storage, and it has a nice handle on the top of the lid. Not only are these bugs super cute, but they are very well made, they are sturdy and I can see them lasting a long time even with everyday play. The colors are great as well, nice and bright, good for both boys and girls. My little boy has had great fun playing with these bugs, he loves to take things apart and put them back together and these are perfect for that kind of play. All of the bugs have the same holes, so my son loves to mix them all up and then take them apart so he can put them back together with the correct matching color and number. Once the bugs are put together the fit is quite snug, and they do not fall apart so the kids can actually "play" with the bugs. Overall I am very pleased with this toy, it is great quality, easy to use, and the kids will have fun playing with it for hours, all while building motor skills, learning colors, and numbers.
I love this toy. I like to purchase toys for my great grand children that they can learn from. this is an excellent learning toy. I gave it to my great grand son who is two years old. For two hours I kept his attention with them. By the end of our play time he was telling me what color they were and how many dots were on the bugs back. I should him how to pull them apart and that started him on his way. It got to the point that he was correcting me when I would mix them up. I don't know who enjoyed them more him or me. I know I'm looking forward to playing with him and the Snap and Learn Number Bugs again
THIS IS A WONDERFUL EDUCATIONAL TOY FOR MY 2YR OLD GRANDCHILD. SHE LOVES IT. WOULD MAKE A GREAT GIFT.
These learning number bugs are a perfect tool for any child aged 2 and up. They are colorful and sturdy. You snap the pieces together to make a "numbered bug". There are 18 pieces. My grand child that is a special program because of a learning disability goes to pre-school and he took it for show and tell. She told me it was a great learning tool for him. It also helps him with his colors. He was so excited and happy. That was my goal. I would recommend this "Snap and Learn" toy for any child. They not only enjoy the toy but they learn numbers and colors too. It has an adorable barrel like carrying case so it is easy to store. This would make an excellent Holiday or Birthday gift as well as a surprise present for any day or occasion.
I thought they were silly and useless. Little girl did not. The jar to keep them in is a great help:) you get a bunch of separate bodies and heads. I bought them for children eight years apart in age so they would have something to do together. I think he thought they were silly too until he saw her playing with them. Then after she moved on to something else he gathered them all in the jar and put them up. He even made a little joke about not wanting to explain missing numbers:) (heads, missing numbers would be missing heads)
My grandson carries the bugs were ever he goes. Enjoys learning colors and how coordination by taking the bugs apart and putting them back together. Also teaches him how to count and recognition of numbers. Definitely a great toy for toddlers. Can be played with almost any where he goes, bath, yard, house and even in the car. Keeps him very content for hours. Like most NEW toys, at first when taking bugs apart they are kind of hard but the more you separate and put back together the easier it gets. It would be nice if there were 10 instead of 6 bugs so kids could learn numbers 0-9 instead of just 0-5.
I chose the Snap and Learn Number Bugs to keep for when younger family/ friends kids came to my house to visit. It is labeled as safe for children age 2 and up. They came in clear plastic container with a twist on lid and handle. They take up hardly any space to store them and the container makes for easy cleanup when they are done playing. In total there are eighteen brightly colored pieces - six heads and twelve body pieces. Each head has a number on it ranging from zero to five and the bodies display dots, in a pattern similar to domino's, ranging from zero to five. Their bodies first snap together by matching the same color pieces then the child chooses the correct head to correspond with the number of dots on its back and places it onto the bug. The kids will have fun using their number, color, counting and coordination skills to put these cute and colorful little bugs back together. There are no small pieces to pose a choking hazard and they can easily be cleaned by simply wiping them with a warm damp cloth. I think they would be a great addition to any household with small kids who are learning their numbers and to count.
Features chunky, snap-together pieces that are easy for little hands to manage as they build adorable bug friends and fine motor skills simultaneously. I believe to little of a child would not be able to assemble these but this doesn't mean a parent or grandparent couldn't assemble until those little hands get big enough to do it them self. these are great for 2-3 on up any child younger then that wouldn't be able to snap the bugs together . but they surely could have fun just playing with the bug as long as adult was around im not sure if these are small enough to get lodged in mouth Includes reusable plastic storage bucket with carrying handle for easy clean up and play on the go , even realistic enough to have holes in the top so that little bug can breath lol includes resalable plastic storage bucket with carrying handle for easy clean up and play on the go , even realistic enough to have holes in the top so that little bug can breath loll Includes resalable plastic storage bucket with carrying handle for easy clean up and play on the go , even realistic enough to have holes in the top so that little bug can breath loll Introduces numbers, counting 0–5, addition and color matching through hands-on play. so they aren't only learning addition but basic colors too Features dots on the back and corresponding numbers on the head for self-checking; can also match colors to self-check I have read other reviews and people were complaining about the dots rubbing off we have not noticed this but if it does im sure we can buy black dot stickers to replace Provides 18 pieces that make 6 bugs (head and 2 body pieces each)Sturdy plastic pieces wipe clean. I would recommend for any 2-4 year old
The numbers on the bugs head help children learn to count. They can learn to recognize what the numbers look like. The dots help them see exactly how much that number is and how much it is worth. The bright colors makes it easy to learn colors. I took the bugs apart and mixed the up. The bright colors made it easy to see the like colors and put back together. The pieces are a plump making it easy for little hands to hold them. Some of the pieces were real tight and they had to really struggle to get them apart. Yet a piece was so loose it just dropped off when I held it up. I have concerns about the safety of these bugs. The white paint on the eyes and the black on the dots on the bugs back scratches off with a few days of play. Is the paint safe? I would not recommend this product to anyone because of the safety issues.
