It is made of great, strong material and the button snaps and holds the flap well.

So much better than the Velcro closure, which works for a while, but then fails miserably. There isn't a day that goes by when I don't use my Leatherman Wave and I have owned many, after I have dropped them in the water, have been stolen or I have lost them, etc.

I thought I would try a nylon sheath for my Surge as my leather ones I have had don't last that long before they break. I have had it about a month and I like it. It is smaller than the leather sheath, and so it is less bulky. I will see how long it lasts. A note to Leatherman. On your survey for uses, you don't have Work as a choice?

What do you say about a sheath? Well, its sturdy, it works, and it is mercifully free of Velcro--a mercy, because I've never used a Velcro-closed belt case for anything where the Velcro didn't stop sticking sooner than later, and its noisy to boot. This button-and-and-spring-clasp design was good enough for my dad's M1 Garand ammo belt in WW II, and it's good enough for my daily carry Skeletool. Rest of the case is well-constructed and seems to be good to go for me. Inexpensive, so I picked up a spare to wear when I go into the office which I will keep neat and clean, unlike my every day case which has and will be drug through mud, ground into concrete, and generally abused in the course of my puttering about. Like most things Leatherman, it is well designed and well executed.

This is my fourth sheath I've purchased for my Wave. Had it about a month and like it better the the first three. The snap holds well and is easy to use. The first three were all velcro and did not last under constant daily use. I wear my Wave on my belt everyday and I'm lost if I forget in the morning. I never thought I would use it as much as I do.

The product is fine, why only the three stars. Made in China! When I bought it nothing about the country of origin. I would not have had a problem with Made in the Republic of China on Taiwan. I avoid made in China at all costs. I would not have bought it knowing this in the first place. I understand business, but If you want to sell stuff especially on line, You should tell your customers where it comes from. I just declined to buy a new wallet because it's made in China
