The Butler is more about historical events (slavery, civil rights movement, Kennedy %26 King assassinations....) and Cecil's personal/family life than his decades of service as a butler in the White House.
The story is a fascinating chronological historical depiction of the life a Black Butler who worked decades in the White House. Forest Whitaker and Oprah gave Oscar worth performances.
Great Movie
i am so happy to have this movie as part of my movie/dvd collection...🤠😎💿
I saw this in the theaters and I enjoyed it very much. I can watch this movie over and over. It is a touching story and inspirational. It is a must see movie by all.
Lee Daniels' The Butler is definitely one of the best screen motion picture I have seen! It is also one of the best Black motion I have seen! It was quite heartwarming and encouraging!
The dvd played wonderful and I loved the movie.
Important historical significance .
Thank you for carrying this most in formative and enjoyable movie of HISTORY.
Not a review of the Butler's time working in the white house and the people who there but more a look at the turbulent times of the 1960's and the upheaval of the civil rights movement. Found the movie reflects the continuing anger, hate and frustration of the African American. Can't we leave these emotions behind and move forward while embracing each other as just Americans? The acting was good.
