I have worn Lee jeans for many years. I searched for years to find jeans that were long enough inseam and longer and roomier in the waist. Lee jeans fit and feel better than any other jean that I have tried. In the past, Lee jeans were more durable and lasted longer than any other. In the last few years, I have been having trouble with the belt loops ripping loose from the bottom seam causing a hole. I also had the straddle rip out along the main seam and had the jeans rip between the left back pocket and the main seam. Each of these rips always happen in the same places. I have several pairs that still look new but are unwearable due to these problems, but I still prefer the fit of Lee jeans better than any other. I would like for the durability to be better, but I guess you can't have everything.
I have worn these for years and have always liked them. However, in the past year or two, the belt loop over the right rear pocket becomes detached at the top. It does not just come loose. It causes a hole in the jeans. This has happened with multiple pairs. This issue needs to be resolved. I have old jeans that didn't have this problem.
My husband wore his 1pair of jeans for the first time (we bought 2 & haven't worn the 2nd pair yet) and was removing his belt and the belt loop broke. I would have expected this on an older pair of jeans, but not brand new jeans. We are very disappointed in the quality!
First time wearing them one of my loops that hold a belt in place was torn out. They snagged on a doorknob! Couldn't believe it. I had already washed them so I didn't try to return them. As I teenager or young adult lee jeans lasted forever. Now fabric is too light.
I ordered heavy weight denim jeans, they don't feel like the last ones I ordered. The order before were made in Mexico. I think they are a better quality.
Bought several pairs for myself and a relative. Sizing was correct and the quality seemed acceptable. However, all pairs started tearing within just a few months of very normal wear. The denim failed (tore) in all pairs where the left rear pocket is sown to the jean and also in the zipper area (not the zipper itself, but the area adjacent to the zipper). These failures were not repairable and the jeans had to be discarded. Rather disappointed as prior pairs of Lees I purchased went several years before needing replacement. I like 100% cotton, but unfortunately I'll have to look elsewhere now.
I liked these jeans when I got them. However, after wearing them only a few times, the bottom of one belt loop pulled out, not just from the denim but from the lining underneath the denim. Nothing unusual happened that could explain this other than poor workmanship. My wife is a good seamstress, but she couldn't fix this one. I contacted Lee, providing my full purchase information, and said I wanted a refund. So far, I've heard nothing in reply. Just the standard request for a review.
I have had these exact pants before. I bought 3 pairs as replacements and so far 2 of the 3 have ripped open on the first day of wear.
I wear them on a regular basis in a casual atmosphere setting. I squated down to pick up an object and the material in the area of the left rear product failed. There was nothing in this pocket when this failure occurred These jeans have been washed 3 times in cold water before this incident. This was the 3rd time I have worn these je a ns.
Lee must have changed their material. After washing, the jeans shrink 1-2 sizes. I ordered twice... first time I washed without checking, the second time I tried the jeans on before washing, and they fit fine. After washing, they were way too small. I have worn the same size for literally decades without any trouble... including the 2 pairs I still had from several years ago...
