This was exactly what I expected. I love the idea of a denim miniskirt with the ease of a skort. The material is thick and seems to be of good quality. You will not want to wear these on really hot days. It is slightly stretchy. If you aren't sure what size to get, size up (unless you prefer tight fitting). I am 5'6", 140 pounds and purchased a 10 and 12. Both sizes could work, but I decided on the larger size because it looked more flattering and hid my belly better.
this a nice skort . made well ..plenty of stretch nice denim color..nice denim material..even dye no streaks no pulled threads or ravels. was bought as a gift for a 26 yr old gal.. she says its a keeper comfortable . shes very happy happy. this skirt was a perfect fit. my daughter wears a 12 misses in pants skirts shorts. will buy some more when they are back in stock. my daughter likes skirts and shorts the skorts are a nice option
these lee skorts have been a great fit for me 59 and my daughter 26 true to size..made well.. elastic in waste all but the dark denim colors but the waist is still comfortable.. the colors are what is shown.. may order more when our sizes are back in stock for the ones not in stock now.. lee has always been a good brand....
I love this skort. Fit is perfect and material is a nice thickness , not heavy. I am 5-1 in tall and weight 145 and the skort is a few inches above the knee, Just right . I see they sell fast so don't hesitate if you're thinking of purchasing one. Thank you Lee for a great product.
By far, the best skort I have found. Super comfortable, fits perfect and true to size. The waistband and shorts are so comfortable. I bought 3. White, Jean and Black. Work appropriate in length. I found one in the store and ordered the other 2 online and they were delivered within a couple days. LOVE them.
Mature(?) 68 yo. Saw this and just loved it. Trying to step out of being in exercise gear all the time. Perfect step. However, usually size 10 maybe 12…. But had to go to 14 for this ( my waist and no give) went to 2 diff super Walmarts tracking down the right size but worth the trip(s) imho. This was not a jr size… it was ladies
I am 5'3", weigh 120 and I usually wear a small. The fabric was nice and light, but everything is going to stick to it. I ordered the black skort, but it's not a dark rich black. If you put it next to a dark black, you can see the difference. It will work fine for casual wear. I felt that the area below the zipper could be slightly larger. It just seemed to dip in a bit and brought focus to the tummy area. I do have a little pouch, but not enough to create the odd dip there. I don't think most would notice. I'm just very particular about my clothing fitting properly. My mother sewed clothing for me, so I notice details. Perhaps, it is the inside shorts creating the problem by pulling the fabric inward. The shorts feel a bit snug in the crouch area and slide to one side. Also, the stitching is slightly uncomfortable where the seams meet up. Perhaps, the designer should've put a pantyliner instead of leaving the seams exposed. They should also lengthen the inseam of the shorts a bit. I ordered a 4 and could size up, but then, everything else would be too big. The skirt length was perfect for me, right at hands length. Not too short and not too long. I may just cut the shorts out, because I like how it looks for the most part. However, I would not buy the black again. If you are between sizes and tend to size up, I would size up one. I also would not get the black. It is not the best fabric for black. It looks like it may fade and wrinkle badly. I'll know more when or if I wear it or wash it. I might even return it. I ordered the denim, hopefully, it will fit better.
I was dubious as to whether or not I would like it, since I haven't worn mini-skirts for years and the shorts underneath this skort are more like stretchy underwear bike shorts. But surprisingly, it's really, really cute. It doesn't. come up much above the knee on me, andI'm 5' 6". The fabric is a nice weight for summer.
I don't love the fabric of the shorts, but I do love these skorts overall. Nice length, decent fabric that doesn't wrinkle, enough stretch to accomodate "curves", but enough cotton that it is also smoothing. The shorts can ride up, but not easily and not uncomfortably. For an active 40 year lady a skort with stretch does more justice than a regular skirt, but also looks more pulled together than shorts and is frankly more comfortable on my body type which doesn't fit into most cuts of shorts. I wear a 6/8 and need an 8 in this skort. It would fit even if I gained or lost 5 or so pounds because of the cut and stretch. I like that too.
It was too tight in the waist even after sizing up. A little short for a 66 year old woman as well. Leave it for the teens and twenties! i have another denim skirt by Lee that is knee length with snaps down the front which is very flattering on and age appropriate. I would like to find in another color.
