great size for any room, and lid keeps fingers out
People saying this is too small for a betta fish. No it is not. They need small spaces without moving water as that is what they live in naturally. Filters are not good for them as it moves the water around and pushes them down making it harder for them to come up for breathe of oxygen, yes they breatheoxygen from the air. I had this exact tank and had a betta live in it for 2 years. Requires frequent water changes. Only use distilled water and dont leave the lid on all of the time as they come to the surface to breathe oxygen. Please research the pet you intend to get beforehand.
I can't imagine keeping a Betta or pair of guppies in this little bowl for any length of time. I use it to hold a Betta while I change the water of their larger bowl.
As a former breeder, yes, this is too small. The smallest we used was quart jars .25 gallon and water changes were done every couple of *days*. These weren't permanent homes, but grow jars to get the boys big enough to sell. The room temp needs to be quite warm for your friend to be comfortable too. I did have one of these laying around that I used to transfer bettas or guppies sometimes. If you want a _happy_ betta, use a tank big enough for a heater. 5 gallon are nice. Plant it well, add 3-4 neon tetras and you have a colorful tank.
this aquarium is not adequet for any living animal. Beta's need at the least 2.5 gallons of water idealy they should have five or more gallons. Not to mention there is no filtration.
I thought I was getting 1.5 gallon tank instead I got a small container. This is not worth 15.00
