Pleased with this fire pit table! Instead of posting the usual photos showing the unit on fire (there are plenty of photos around showing this), I'm doing something different and using my 2-photo allotment to show the unit right after I put it together, showing the "workings" of the unit. One photo shows the interior (behind the table cabinet door) where you insert your 20-lb. propane tank, which includes built-in connector and line and also a sturdy base for the tank to sit on. The other photo shows the side with the lighter knob and instruction sticker, and also the top of the unit with the stainless steel burner, before any lava rock is added. This was pretty easy to put together, but not having any help, it did take me longer than the booklet's 30-minute estimate (more like an hour). The panels were tricky to hold up and keep steady by myself while I held them in place over the appropriate hole while I used the other hand to get the screws in. It took longer by myself, but it was definitely doable. The only thing at all I had trouble with was the screws that hold the base on, which was really the last step. The screw holes were just a bit too small for the screws, so at first I thought they wouldn't work at all. But I just used brute strength and kept trying to force the screwdriver, and I got 2 of the screws all the way in, and the other two most of the way in. The base feels completely sturdy inside. The unit works great and as it should. It's too hot to use regularly right now (in the lower 90's and upper 80's and very humid), but this will be great in cooler weather when it's more comfortable to sit out! If you have any trouble with your starter lighting or staying lit, just press the starter button and hold for 2 to 3 seconds while lighting it instead of just a quick press and letting go ... this should help you out immensely.
There's something relaxing about sitting by a fire. This gas fire pit is a nice size with a low profile to give a pleasant glow and warmth as the evening cools. The unit has clean lines and looks great! The ledge around the burner is five inches wide and stays cool to the touch. The unit has a cover for the burner that fits very well. Assembly was easy, and though we had to call for assistance about a part, the helpline is readily available and very responsive.
This gas fire pit is super nice! I read the measurements but it is so much bigger than I imagined. It's great. The one I received did come with a couple small dents but nothing to extreme. I will say I recommend putting a towel or blanket down when assembling. You assemble it upside down and it does scratch easily. The overall assembly was easy, well explained and took exactly the amount of time it suggests which is 30 minutes. Also the door took just a bit of adjusting to get the closer we liked. It took a couple turns to ignite once hooked up but after that it cranks on within 1 or 2 turns. The flames are adjustable with the turn of a knob. It's a beautiful price and I was surprised at how much it actually heats. Will be great on cool evenings!! Overall I am completely satisfied and would recommend. Also I forgot to mention that I like that it also has a cover so it can be used as a little table when not in use!
Perfect size not too big, or small, it was easy, and fast to put together took less than a half hour, it is heavy, very durable, very relaxing to watch, and puts out great heat, Love it.
It was exactly what I was looking for.great buy
its exactly what they mention
Great quality
I love this fire pit! The price is amazing and the heat it puts off is great. The only bummer is that the starter broke pretty quickly after we bout it. Not the end of the world because we can still light it with a lighter but thats why I gave it 4 stars.
We've been after an outdoor firepit for some time now. We have a big yard and a garden and we enjoy spending time out there roasting hotdogs and marshmallows and even just doing nothing at all. Since we live in a northern state temps can get a little nippy in the evening, sometimes dropping 40-50 degrees from afternoon to night. Enter in the 28” Legacy Heating Propane Firepit. Assembly is required with this firepit but for the most part it isn't too difficult and I did much of it myself, though I needed a second pair of hands to assist a few times. All of the parts are clearly numbered. The manual is straightforward, the instructions are in English and are easy to understand, and they have corresponding illustrations that are a real plus. There were two negatives that I found. The first, was that I had trouble with two of the final screws in the base and my brother had to 'tap' them in order to install them. The second was a real bigee, when you are done setting up the firepit and installing the propane tank, DO NOT FOLLOW THE MANUAL'S LIGHTING INSTRUCTIONS, we wound up losing some arm hair over it. The manual indicates the firepit does not have a striker to light itself, but it does. Just follow the directions on the sticker next to the propane control knob on the firepit and you will be good to go. I've had the firepit set up for a couple of weeks or so, and, even though it's not a grill I've still snuck some marshmallows (they do roast differently than with a wood fire). The firepit has been rained on a couple of times and it did leave some marks on the powder coating and a little rust on the lid handle but most of it washed off with a damp rag. Anyway, with a couple of months left to late summer and early fall I'm glad to have the firepit and I'm really looking forward to using it as the western nights start to cool...
