[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the item itself, only issue i'm really having at this moment is the audio driver giving some problems on windows 11. i actually had to wonder if the fans was working as I wasn't hearing them comparing to my Helios but i realized it's just relatively silent
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall so far it has been great. The general build quality is good, haven't had any issues with plastic snapping or anything when opening the laptop up. It holds up really well when traveling (although it can be a bit heavy especially if you bring the power brick with you). This thing is incredibly silent even when running some pretty demanding games. The keyboard feels nice and responsive. The only real complaints that I have about it is that the trackpad can be a little unresponsive when clicking at times, but those moments are very rare. I am also slightly disappointed by IO, I wish there was one more USB-A port on the sides and move the side ports so that there is 1 USB-C and USB-A on each side. These are very minor gripes, as I mainly use it stationary at home, but take it with me to classes as well.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The laptop is fire (not literally). Amazing graphics and doesn't burn too hot. I'm in the tropics without AC and it runs fine. My wife had an Acer/Asus (or whatever the heck it was) and it burned my hands playing the same game. So I gave her my old Legion with 4GB card and bought this one. Teehee. Even the old one played the game just fine without getting too hot. I love the USB-PD so I can run my second monitor off just the USB-C cord. Cuts down on cable management.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far I haven't had any issues with running programs on the laptop which would normally be quite strenuous. It allows me to complete my work about 120% faster than my previous machine and I haven't had any crashes yet. The fan can be a bit loud, but that is pretty normal for a laptop running my scripts.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine is a beast, in a good way! Pros: a. The display - beautiful, bright, & sharp. The screen is not glossy, so its easy on the eyes. b. Its fast! Code that took about an hour to run on my older laptop, ran in less than ten minutes. Very fast boot time as well. c. Unlike what other reviews say about this machine, it actually looks really nice and professional with its matte finish. d. The keyboard is joy to type on, and the touchpad is large and responds well. e. Body is mostly plastic but feels strong and solid. f. It has many ports at the back other than one USB port on the right side. So, the cables remain behind the laptop and are out of the way. g. You have the option to customize this machine although the base version is pretty good as is. Cons: With great power comes a little of compromise (sorry couldn't help it) a. As expected this is a bulky/heavy machine. So, if you are looking for an ultra portable machine, this is not for you. The power adapter is like a solid brick and adds to the weight. So, it may limit mobility for some. Although when carried in a good, well-supported backpack it doesn't feel heavy. b. As expected, the battery life does suck when not plugged in. But if you adjust the battery settings it does give you extra time. Overall I am extremely happy with this machine and would totally recommend it to anyone seeking a high performance (not just for gaming) system.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was an excellent buy. I do heavy video editing and the Legion works great in catering to my processing needs. It also has all of the ports I need which have unfortunately become very scarce on most laptops. The number of usb and usb c, hdmi, etc ports are essential! The battery is also plenty without having to keep it plugged or recharge often. I am happy with the buy and look forward to seeing how it lasts in the long run.
Comparing with similar 2-year-old HP: Lenovo is heavier. I do like the non-glare screen. I like the power plug in the back. All ports are on the back, which I'm not sure about yet. HP unit has fingerprint scanner. No SD card reader. Top-of-the-line latest processor was not available on this unit. I feel it is a bit expensive. The power supply brick is just that: a BRICK! It is very large, heavy and cumbersome. They do not show you this in the photos.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Its a great laptop. I'm finding a host of issues with my microphone. Also some framerate issues in my games. Really not a fan of Windows 11. But its likely that most of these issues stem from 3rd party programs, rather than what's native and built into the Lenovo laptop itself. Still, its a bit elusive. Until I can prove its a hardware issue, Lenovo gets 5 stars from me. I also really like the Lenovo Vantage app. That works great and is fun to use. I DO wish there was a regular USB port (not USBC) on both sides of the laptop, not just one. The sound of the laptop is solid, when I play shows and things it outputs good volume. The keyboard feels great to type on.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this for about 2 weeks and am very pleased. The chassis feels very professional which was important to me to use for both work and fun. I have the RTX 3060 GPU and so far, it has played everything I throw at it on ultra settings. The fan does get pretty loud at those settings though. The Lenovo Vantage software is very useful which I really was not expecting. The only thing I do not like is the size of the power brick but I suppose it has to be big to power the unit.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Product description stated laptop was a bit over 5 lbs. However, when the laptop arrived, I found the battery is almost as heavy as the laptop. Nothing like lugging additional weight in a backpack while scramblingacross an airport. Laptop + battery is about 10 pounds! Not happy
