My boys have had so much fun creating with this game! They brainstorm off screen and sketch ideas, then create them on the game. It's been so fun! We have also really enjoyed learning about the areas where the courses are. From 4 to 13, they are all having a great time.

LEGO 2K Drive is a genuinely fun kart racer that blends open-world exploration with creative LEGO building, and it mostly holds up on Switch — just don't expect a flawless ride. The core gameplay is a blast. Racing across three distinct biomes, seamlessly switching between car, boat, and off-road vehicle forms feels clever and fresh. The humor is classic LEGO silliness, and the vehicle builder adds real depth for those who want to tinker. On Switch, however, the cracks show. The visuals take a noticeable hit compared to other platforms, with pop-in and occasional frame rate dips during busier races. Load times can drag, and the game doesn't look quite as vibrant in handheld mode as the marketing suggests. The bigger gripe is the aggressive monetization — a full-priced game stuffed with a microtransaction shop feels out of place, especially in a title clearly aimed at younger players. That said, if you can look past the visual compromises and resist the storefront, there's a genuinely enjoyable racer here with solid content and plenty of charm. My boys love everything Lego. My older son played this video game at a friend‘s house and requested it for his birthday. I was thrilled to find it incredibly affordable at Walmart and he is over the moon. The experience is on par with other Lego video games, many of which we have.

haven't played it yet. originally $19 was on sale for $10 so i bought it. my son loves racing games. gave this 5 stars for the price. I see now that someone bought all the rest that were on sale and is now charging over $22 when originally these were $19. its sad that people do that, just get a real job instead. try to contribute to the world instead of just taking. i hope no one buys this from the 3rd party seller.

My son absolutely loves this game. He loves all the Lego games but he enjoys playing this Lego car game. He builds his cars and drives them and does all kinds of fun stuff. He's already showed some of his friends and when he's working on a new car he has to show everyone.

Solid arcade racer with a cool mechanic where your vehicle automatically transforms between a car, off-road truck, and boat depending on the terrain. Controls are easy to pick up and the open world has plenty to explore — races, challenges, mini-games across multiple themed maps. Honest caveat: I've only played a few times and it hasn't totally hooked me yet. Could be that I haven't given it enough time, so take that with a grain of salt. The humor is fun and silly in a good way, works for kids and adults alike. One heads-up: the microtransactions are hard to miss at full retail price, though you can ignore them. Overall a fun game — I suspect it gets better the more you invest in it. Recommended with that in mind.

My 10 year-old son really enjoys this game. It has the adventure of a driving racing car game but the friendly friendly relatable, Lego world that eyes a parent feel comfortable with and don't have to worry about them seeing or hearing anything inappropriately, but it still has fun gameplay that he enjoys.

Lego 2K Drive is a fun entry into the Lego game scene. While most Lego games are action adventure games, a driving game was a logical different genre to explore. Both single player and online multiplayer modes are present, and the ability to test your creative side by building your own vehicle creations. This game will be fun for kids, but also those older and adults. If youre still on the fence, the game is on discount often. Check it out.

Game doesn't run super great on the switch, but it's a great game for kids who won't know the difference. It's more arcade feeling, which isn't as punishing for younger kids. Races aren't as great as Mario Kart, but the big draw is the ability to build your own cars. My kids have just as much fun bulding their cars as they do racing!

This seems like a decent game. The controls are a bit strange for me. Which makes it difficult to get through some of the events to progress the story mode. It does seem overly complicated in parts, like the garage to edit vehicles or make your own. I kind of understand why you need a Lego or 2K account for online.
