This build is a lot of fun. I love New York and it was fun building each of the monuments/towers up. I will look at the other skyline sets after my experience with this one.
A total hit! Our grandson is ready for the next challenge! He loved doing this. The best way to get them off their phones
So much fun building this set. Lived in NYC many years ago and it was great to sort through the memories while building. Price is a bit high but I am glad I bought it. Each Lego brick landmark is as special and as unique as the actual landmark. Looks amazing 💟
Good fun to complete this challenge. Lots of intricate pieces to place so you have to look very carefully at the instructions. An overall amazing product.
Reminds me of when I visited New York with my wife holds good memories
After building London and Paris I thought I'd get this New York to complete the set. It brought back memories for me too. I have to say this was my least favourite to build. The towers were repetitive. Quick to build. Price could be cheaper.
I loved building this set round my sisters today, she's a massive Lego fan and I'm a huge fan of NYC & decided to do a travel wall in my bedroom of places visited & this was the first set I have ordered to begin my Lego building journey as an adult. I was expecting the pieces bags to come numbered so it did confuse me at first when building the base that I needed to open all the bags but once sorted I loved how majority of all the pieces came together so neatly and perfectly, it has beautiful lines. It's small but mighty and oozes class. My only issue I have is that the one world tarde centre is not as sturdy and doesn't go into place as nicely as the other buildings, but looking at it you wouldn't know until you touch it. As to the feel its kinda loose, i was thinking i hadn't built it right to begin with but after re-building it, it turned out the exact same so its just the way that particular building in the set is once built but seeming as this is for decoration only its not a big deal. I would still recommend the set for any NYC fan. I have already ordered the London and Paris in the same line and a couple of the postcard sets. I hope Lego do more and expand their architecture skyline range, I have a wall to fill of my travels. *Please, please, pleaseee bring out an Amsterdam one!
Pages 97 misprint!only 2 blocks required for step 7 not 3. Had no trouble with the rest of it came together nicely and looked well when made. My only recommendation is the statue of liberty design sucks! Otherwise was nice to make.
This is my 2nd Architecture build, and really have enjoyed the New York skyline build. See how the buildings are in different height too. My only criticism is that the Statue of Liberty is abit plain and doesn't really look like the real thing to be honest. But that's it. Really good project to build and give it a 8/10
We bought this for our ten year old son who has most of the items in the architecture series. He easily has done the much larger sets and many other Lego sets with thousands of pieces. This one was the first time he just lost interest and became to frustrated to finish himself. The problems are with the Empire State Building portion. The pieces fall apart easily as you assemble it and then the base part of the building does not connect with the tower portion. We rebuilt the bottom portion and the tower portion three times with three different people and same result every time. We had to use an extra piece from our own Legos to make the tower set on the base and even then it won't set centered. The other beef is that they really should have given a little more thought to the Statue of Liberty piece and at least given her a torch or something that makes her look like the actual statue other than just being green. We have done Venice, Berlin, Chicago, and all the different towers and this is the first time the set was a bit of a let down. Looks good from a distance now on his shelves but definitely not as great as the rest of the series quality wise.
