The only Lego kits I buy for myself instead of my kids are food trucks. The donut truck was a fun build and looks great next to my other food trucks.
I would recommend this . It teaches building skills and building blocks are good for the brain, it also teaches about future ideas about building a business in the future as young adults or kids that could fantasize about different careers or second jobs of a food truck or in something that they would enjoy or see themselves doing they enjoying the future and making money at the same time. I consider this an educational toy for role playing and computation of how they will build their blocks and follow or not follow direction in using their own imagination and ideas in however they choose.
This Lego set is so cute and a great addition to the Lego City collection. The set was easy for both my 7 year old and my 13 year old to work on because the directions are very clear about what pieces are needed and where. The vehicle has some fun features such as the donut on top being spinable and the doors can open. This will be tons of fun to play with.
I absolutely love this genre of sets. My kids love the past years slushie and burger truck. The donut truck was very fitting as it is their favorite breakfast meal. They were just as excited if not more when I got this. I have seen some people upset with gap in the donut but this leads to fun workarounds and customization if buyers have the spare parts.
Love the food trucks, please keep them coming. The Good: Printed tiles, no stickers Overall theme being a Donut truck Front of the truck looks great Solid enough The Bad or not so good: The chassis being all in one piece, prefer to build one from pieces. The wheels, they don't suit being on a truck because they are low profile tyres, tyre and rim all in one item, prefer the tyre seperate to the rim.
This set is an excellent addition to any Lego city especially if you have the modular police station set. My only gripe is that the back of the truck is one stud too short and it obscures the head of the mini figure doughnut man when he's inside it. Otherwise it's an overall great set. This set receives an A- from the Brick Professor.
This set is a great addition to the truck collection LEGO is seemingly gearing towards. It has a similar building technique to 2024's ‘60404 - Burger Van' and is the perfect (and much needed addition) to anyone's LEGO City. Although it does not too many play features, there's a nice level of detail in the set that carries over the fun feeling of a typical donut van. Price-wise, it's affordable and great for what you get. Overall, a pretty great smaller-scale set.
I purchased this thinking I could use some pieces for another item. And as I was putting this together, I realize they could've done a little better with this one. For one the shop part of it the door is a little short for regular size mini figures. Number two the glass on the one side not the one with the pictures on it. They could've maybe put a garage door or something to slide instead. Also, I think they could've put it in a regular seat for the driver. I feel like they could've just allowed the it's a wonderful life to be made.
the amount of waxy laminated paper here is unbelievale. there are 38 useless pages in just ONE of this sets instruction books showing that you use your hand to pick the pieces up. really? i thought i'd try putting it together with my teeth. come on lego, this is so poorly designed, not to mention wasteful. and the argument is that it's for kids is ridiculous because i was a kid who loved lego, and so were many of my friends, and none of them ever had any issues with the old style of instructions. also the consolidation on the instruction steps is also terrible, please do better
