My son loves any Lego vehicle, so it was cool to get 2 monster trucks in one set. He built them in an hour or so, no problem.
I bought this set for my 5-year-old who's really into cars and anything that races, and it ended up being a great purchase. The two monster trucks are honestly the highlight — the taco-themed truck made him laugh right away, and the pirate truck has a fun little treasure chest detail. The builds were straightforward and took him about 30–40 minutes per truck, which was the perfect amount of time before he got antsy to start playing. Once everything was built, he immediately set up a little “race course” in the living room and sent the trucks flying over makeshift ramps. They're sturdy enough to crash and survive, which isn't always the case with some LEGO vehicle builds. The only downside for us is the tiny launcher pieces. They're a cute idea, but they scatter fast and we've already lost one. Overall, it's a fun, playful set that encourages imagination and gives kids two vehicles to build instead of one. Great value for the price, even if I do wish it included a ramp or a little track piece. Still a solid 4 out of 5 stars from me.
