LEGO City Sailboat Building Set 60438

quick fun build... a little overpriced... but still a fun build

My son, and daughter both love the boat. It has had many adventures in the bath with them and they have had a great time playing with it. The only minor downside is one of the figures doesn't have ‘bendy' legs, so can't sit down. Took me a while to realise this and is a bit of a shame.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product from Influenster in exchange for my honest review. This is the first lego set that I've put together with my 4 year old. I was a little intimidated by the number of pieces but the instructions were so simple and easy to follow, my son could have done this on his own. It took us about 45 minutes from start to finish and was such a fun bonding experience for us both. The details on the ship set were so accurate. My son loves his Lego ship and I can definitely say we will be purchasing more Lego sets like this in the near future!

Bought this set to add to a marine diorama I've set up at home. It was fun to build and went together very quickly despite some issues with pushing small parts into poles/sticks. ( Difficult for my aged hands. ) Very fair price too for this set. I'm happy with the end result.

I got this kit for my young daughter because we love sailing. The build was fun and we even got it to sail downwind by turning the sail and tying a fishing line to the front! The red and green "light" pieces are incorrectly placed though - my eleven year old daughter insisted we put them at the front on the sides so they were in the correct place. (The stern should have a white light, not red and green.)

I was excited for this set but unfortunately the base of the boat is pre made mold. I would've loved to build the boat in its entirety. Great concept just disappointed.

Got this set for myself and for the beach theme I'm putting together. So disappointed with the pre built mold. Pieces were not many so it was a pretty quick build. I would say, this might suit kids more who like to play in the bath tub. But it is a disappointing build for adults who are looking for more innovation and excitement in the build. One of the most boring set I've ever done.
