LEGO Classic Bricks and Houses 11008 Building Set for Imaginative Play (270 Pieces)

This set was purchased for my granddaughter and was a big hit. She looked at the pictures and easily assembled all the pieces before making her own creations. A great basic toy to help build imaginations! One can never have too many Legos!!!

Bought this for supervised play with my son as a transition from Duplo to Lego. So far so good and hours of fun already. Not following any pictures or instructions. Just creative play. Learning shapes and colour. Love lego for its embedded education to be absorbed straight into my little boy! And fun for dad too. Then we can build up the big sets in the future! Soo excited to share my continual love of Lego to the next my generation.

He loves to build with them for hours and they help with building hes building.

I bought and sent this item to my 4 year old Grandson for his 4th birthday. He will receive it in 2 days on January 11th.

LEGO Classic "Bricks and Houses" (270 pieces). This set consists of 3 larger bags of blocks and 2 little ones. The structures are fairly simple to make (the little orange house and windmill are the easiest, the larger red house the most complex). The igloo and castle are my favorites and what attracted me to buy this kit on the first place. There are quite a few pieces left over after making the 6 suggested builds too, so, you have the freedom to design and create something else or customize and improve on LEGO's examples. Unlike the last Classic set I reviewed, all 6 of these models are included in the paper instructions, which I appreciate. This kit was so-so for me. The value (16 dollars, originally 20) and brick selection are pretty good, but, the models weren't too impressive. This is a fine basic set, but, you might be happier with a larger building that mini figures can fit into and interact with (i.e., you can get the Friends Heartlake City Hair Salon for the same price). 3.5/5.0 stars.

I was very disappointed in the packaging. Fortunately I was not planning to give this as a gift. The box had a rip.This should have been discounted. If not for that I would have given it five stars.

Loved the Legos.....the delivery person (An independent individual) dropped off a child approximately 8 years old and the child placed my package in the middle of my driveway. Poor choice on delivery persons part (let your child out to deliver a package and having the child leave it in the middle of the driveway). Poor choice...very upset about this delivery.
