This set has less number of pieces but believe me you can make a bunch of things. I have made houses, boat, airplane, truck, castle etc. It is a good beginner set before you buy a big one.
Got this set as a starter to the smaller Lego for my 4 year old. He had been loving the larger Duplo blocks for awhile and I felt he was ready to move on. The first day he sat and built things from the booklet all day. My only issue was I ordered these for store pickup and the website said they were available for same day pickup. Finally the next day I got an email that they would be delayed almost a week and my son ended up getting them after his birthday.
Quality is good and my child plays all the time. I wish size could have been little bigger
My youngest son loves LEGOs! I built almost all of these that the manual sent, but as a five year old he tore them apart quickly...lol. These were the smaller ones, and I didnt realize I needed the duplex for his age, but he still loves and plays with them. I couldnt believe how much I helped when I got them for him. I can see how they would definitely be a stress reliever, and why its recommended for up to age 99! If I had more time Id build with him more, but he seems to have in down past.
I LOVE buying my kids these sets of Legos. They always come with all the random pieces you're always looking for when creating on your own. My only gripe is the container it came in. I bought this one because I thought it came in a hard plastic reuseable storage container. Like the bigger sets do. The top is cheap plastic and the box is cardboard.
We got this as a birthday gift for my son and it was his first lego experience. He enjoyed it thoroughly. The book and instructions are super easy to follow for any novice buildier. It was real fun for him and also great as fine motor skill activity.
When did legos get so expensive? I think it is the way they package it to look like a huge set of legos and creative way to put it together. Kids need lots of blocks to build and build and build. She loves the many different shapes included but she can only put together a small structure. Mostly it has tiny pieces that don't go far. Other than that, Legos are a great way to be creative and the different shapes help that. No batteries, no noise.. love it
Even though the top is plastic the bottom of the box is cardboard. I ordered online hoping to get a plastic storage container out of the deal but it was only half plastic.
I know Legos are always pricey but at about $20+ after shipping its way over priced. There simply isn't enough pieces to justify the price and there just isn't enough to really build anything.
A few moments ago (on December 6th), I received a notice that my package was delivered and left at my door. I went to the door and nothing was there!!!! I checked my Ring doorbell and no one had passed my door since 1:20pm (one of my neighbors). At 3:06pm, I checked the doorways of ALL of my neighbors in building %236 and there was NO PACKAGE!!!!! Since the item was ordered for my granddaughter, I am requesting a replacement!
