LEGO Creator Expert Corner Garage 10264 Building Set with defectsl

I sat on the fence for a long time with this modular but had heard good things from other AFOLS so I finally took the plunge to get it. Having now built it I am REALLY glad that I did, it looks much better than I anticipated and the building experience itself was a lot of fun. My favourite piece is probably the window sign for the Vet Office (Dr. Jones - No snakes) which gave me a nice little giggle, even if I did crack the joke before I had fully read the window print. I am also happy to report that even if you put the window in the wrong way round it is easy to pop out and refit once the build is complete (yes, I'm that person). A small number of mini figures with this modular but, to be entirely honest, that works for me as I am not a big mini figure fan (don't come for me). They do add life to the displayed modular though and it looks great on the shelf. Let's be honest there isn't that much else you can do with the modular range once they are built and that works for me as I enjoy the build and I get just as much pleasure from looking at the completed item and remembering the build. This was a gift for our grandson who turned 13. He loves to build and loves Legos. He is so excited about this! He's put together part of it and couldn't wait to show us what he's accomplished and how it works. Great detail and lots of fun! Thanks Lego

LEGO Modular corner garage is a very neat and clean build. The inside uses tiles to make the building very clean. Good use of different shapes and pieces to make a good build. I am not pleased that they didn't use plates in the first floor, but I understand that they want to have mini figures stand. Overall this build was very fun and good for display. This looks great in my LEGO city and I am excited to add future modular builds to it as well.

I am so glad that I took the plunge to buy this set! It has lots of features like the extra words on the signs and that the tow truck winch moves up and down. I only wish that there was a back entrance to the apartment so the owner doesn't have to walk through the vet and garage to get out. I would definitely recommend this set and it is worth the money! I can't understand how people couldn't like this set and want it to retire faster. The modular building are always awesome and this one has lots of building techniques. Enjoy the build!

When I got this set I was amazed just by seeing the box, the details throughout the build are spectacular! The tow truck includes is a great small add on which certainly bring the set to life! This has to be my favourite modular out of the three I own, (my other two are the diner and bookshop) I am in love with cars and the 6 wide speed champs look great around the building! The vets is a nice little floor and the sofa and aquarium builds are fantastic! The apartment floor which is right at the top has a lovely kitchen and a nice build for a toilet room! Overall a great set and I'd recommend to everyone!

Another part of my city, this is so cool, I really enjoy building and seeing the finished results, still not able to get the rest to complete my venture due to over pricing or not available.

Once completed this modular building does not look as good as most of the others I have (Brick Bank, Parisian Restaurant, Assembly Square, Pet Shop, Detective's Office) from the outside and the inside is very cramped. The build itself was tedious and boring, with way too much repetition with 1X1 pieces, all of which add to the high parts count and give a false impression of the complexity of the build, which was very easy. The concept of an angular building seems at first to be interesting, but the way it is executed is not very robust, with diagonal walls, both external and internal, held in place by very flimsy means and the build lacking any realism, with the creation of some very odd internal spaces. Because the angular nature results in the internal space being severely limited, this results in the internal furnishings being sparse, with hardly any possibility of improvising with some improvements. My plan is to completely rebuild this model but square, doing away with the angular nature altogether. That way at least the internal spaces will be a decent size allowing a detailed interior to be created, although a significant quantity of additional parts will probably be required.

The LEGO item itself is perfect, fun build. The three stars is for the careless way it was shipped. The box was NOT placed in a plain shipping box and was sent without any protection or being able to hide what it was. It arrived with tape around the entire box because the LEGO box (which has only thin cardboard) had been ripped open and torn in many places. Pieces could have fallen out and it could have easily been stolen. All other retailers probably would have placed it in another larger box. Why this wasn't taken care of properly is beyond me! I won't be ordering from Walmart again!

This set seems to divide the fans like none other. Some love it and some, like me, are very disappointed. When I first saw the set I was cautiously optimistic since I like the idea. However, I found the execution of it to be very poor. First of all, the architectural style is truly boring, the bland type of post-war “plattenbau” that litters any town across the world. Of course, this is a matter of taste, so some people will like it. But for me, this is the first big problem. Even worse though is the extremely confusing interior design. The garage works ok and has some fun play elements, but moving up one floor you come to the vet. I like the idea of having a vet in my lego town, but why on the second floor? Above a garage?? Accessible only via a life-threatening stair??? A stair that is fully inside the garage???? The oddly angled room divider might seem innovative to some, but to me it is just weird. It feels like the designers suddenly realised they had to fix a wall and did the best they could to cram it in. Moving up a floor to the bachelors apartment we get some more strange design. Above all – this guy has no doors! He basically lives in the stairwell! Of course, this is a lone guy living above a garage, so I do not expect his quarters to be cosy by any means, but that bed!? Come on! At least Lego could have done something fun of his situation and gone all in on the “lonely crazy guy living in misery in a garage” theme, but not even that happened… All in all this is, in my opinion, by far the most disappointing Modular building and it does not bode well for the future.

Received a damaged box (shipped in bag) and it did not say Lego anywhere on the box. A label was placed over Chinese characters saying it was compatible. Walmart should do something about sellers offering fake goods being passed off as originals. Nothing against someone copying Lego (the detail is amazing) but don't sell as Lego.
