Loved this build. Only my second personal build in the last 20 years, but have constantly been building through my children. Those always felt a chore as, kids being kids, want it all built then & now. This was dad time! A build spread out over 4 sessions (also required due to arthritis), with time taken to appreciate the complexity and engineering involved. I doff my cap to the genius who designed this. This felt more of a challenge than my previous build (the 007 AM DB5), but I think that was largely due to the darker colours (took the use of numerous lamps). The finished build though is a thing of beauty. Just can't take my eyes or my hands off it. I think this set (and the DB5) has awakened the dorment Lego building beast inside of me. The question though - where to go from here?... Only one minor piece missing from the set. You can't win them all. The missing piece is already on order though. Took less than 60 Seconds to sort it. Well impressed.
I love this set! It has a lot of customizations, you can open the trunk and the hood and doors! The wheels go up and seats slide forward! It's my favourite set, and it's amazing!!
The ford mustang lego set has it all, from the in's to the out's it truly is a must-have for any car enthusiast of all ages. the set itself is remarkable but there are so many things you can miss. it was recently my birthday and I had been saving for a lego set so I treated myself to this, and I haven't looked back so if someone does read this, please bye one and join the club.
This was my 8 yo son's first 16+ expert build. He completed this over a week doing a little each night. He is Lego & car obsessed & loves american muscle cars so this build was s firm favourite. The fact you can build it standard or modified massively made the build for him!
What a pleasure. First ever build for me, 9 hours over 3 days. All the parts were there and I must say, it's genius how it comes together. Tips for novices... open a bag, lay all the parts out in groups so its easy to find (about 30 minutes a bag), assemble one bag before you open another and definitely download the pdf assembly guide so you can zoom in on instructions. Came together perfectly with no mistakes and everything works as it should, including the add ons. Totally worth the money.
A great version of the 1967 Ford Mustang. We enjoyed this build alot. Its great without mods, but it does look nicer with cromed bumpers, so its a mod Id recommend. Some nitpicking. The parts with printed stripes differ slightly. They needed to be aligned in a special order to get them straight on the model. We managed to get them almost perfect so it was not a big problem. The Mustang print in the grill is slightly offset however and thats not possible to fix. Again this is nitpicking. But everything else in the kit is perfect quality, so the printing should have the same high standard. But the small printing problem doesn't stop me from giving the kit a top score! Its fun to build and looks great when completed. Together with the Apollo rocket and the VW bus, this is our favorit Lego kit! We will use it for animation. The steering and the overall sturdiness makes it perfect.
This was a gift for my adult brother which is a big fan of muscle cars and LEGO. This is a big build, it is the same lenght as the London Bus. It comes with several customization options, several plates, so you can change from time to time if you feel so. There are some Technics parts, mainly in the steering, so if you have a small child it can be challenging. Overall, the best full size car from LEGO, in my opinion.
Lovely piece of kit! Loved Fords since I got into cars at the age of 10. This Mustang is nearly perfect in all regards, save for very minor quips like that little hood gap and some striped panels not quite matching up once side by side with each other. Overall, a project built on adrenaline and love, 1471 pieces in 12.5 hours maybe a world record.
I really enjoyed building this. The build was challenging, and I made a few mistakes which I had to rectify throughout. The additional bits at the end were a real bonus. However, I do have 2 bones of contention. Firstly the finishing of the printed tiles is disappointing, they do not align or look right at all as you can see from the pictures attached. Also, for the seats there should have been 6 * 4626904 pieces in the box, but there was only 2, and I had to use 4113233 instead. I dont think it looks to bad if I am honest, however it is not as expected.
My box was sent to me bent but contents were inside. When I was about to wrap this gift for my son, I noticed that the box was taped poorly so I looked inside the booklet did not even have a cover showing how it looks like most Lego sets previously purchased! Upon further inspection I noticed that the outside box doesn't even say Legos it just says Creators everything else is the same. This maybe returned because I don't believe its a legit Lego product shame on you Walmart this Lego set cost too much money for this to be allowed I think its counterfeit.
