I have had the opportunity to be able to use my independent time and to construct my brand new and incredible LEGO Harley Davidson motorcycle at home today - 1st August 2019. I also found my experience of it challenging and the play of it is excellent. My timing of completing the item was in four hours and 25 minutes. In other words, I started the task at 2:50pm and I ended it at 7:15pm. A big booklet of instructions was provided with the product. This is helping you to look and to understand of what you go to do in order to build the whole model. Completing each layer is displayed in four different parts - see attached photograph. I appreciate the features of the product so there are many sections and they include solid-disc Lakester wheels with strong tyres to its teardrop fuel tank with printed logos, an inbuilt speedometer, an engine with two moving pistons, dual exhaust pipes, handlebar steering, a moveable gearshift pedal, brake levers, kickstand and a sturdy display stand. This is finished with a dark red and black colour scheme to show it has an authentic touch rather than it being boring and left alone elsewhere. On the other hand, if you find it difficult to identify what are the sizes or the dimensions of this product the measurements of them are 34 centimetres (13 inches) horizontally and 21 centimetres (8 inches) vertically - see attached photograph. Alternatively, I admire the item and I purchased it as a special reward for doing a total of seven months hard work this year from January until July 2019. Lastly, I thought I would share my positive comments in my new review by saying I'd recommend the LEGO Harley Davidson motorcycle to any fan who is interested in LEGO, anyone where may be starting to be novice LEGO builders and then gradually progressing their dreams to become LEGO Expert builders, some people could imagine about what they like of their interest of LEGO for example, inspiring others to join in with them in the LEGO community and how to enjoy building their creations they wish or want to achieve in the future.
I'm not a motorcycle enthusiast, so this model is right outside of my comfort zone and for months I have looked at it online but always found something else to buy instead. But the Harley Davidson is surely a global icon and eventually I decided to buy one when I saw that it was soon to be discontinued, especially as I have found in the past that buying discontinued sets is way more expensive than getting them when they are current. Not only was I not disaapointed, but I am absolutely thrilled with the whole building process and the end result. The Lego designers have excelled themselves with this model. The build process is excellent, with some ordinary Lego pieces being used in the most imaginative fashion and throughout the entire build you can really see what you are building and where you are going, which is not always the case, particularly with Technic for example. If I was to make one very small criticism it would be that it's a pity that more pieces were not chromed, that would have added true sparkle to what is already almost perfection. As this is soon to be discontinued I would highly recommend getting one soon if you don't already have it. Like the VW Camper Van and the VW Beetle this iconic model is a must have in your collection.

I'm not a 'bike enthusiast in real life but Lego bike models look good and are usually a decent build. This Harley is exactly that- nice size, big parts count and some interesting use of those parts. Goes together well although challenging in a couple of places where connecting things is a bit tight but can be done with care and a little patience. Once constructed however there are no particularly fragile bits to drop off easily. The moving engine is a nice feature, fun to build, but unfortunately afterwards only you will know there are actual pistons working in there... that said the engine looks good and the chain drive works well and is visible. My only niggle is that it would be better with a few "chrome" parts - just the exhaust might do (and these bits are in silver on other kits e.g. Aston DB5 and old Sopwith Camel..) But overall a nice build and worth the cash. BTW I only build for about half-an-hour at the end of the evening to wind down before bed hence the time taken to make it!
Im 44 years old and I haven't played with Lego for over 30 years I had so much fun and took me back to my childhood. I think it look better then my harley. It look great even the pistons move. Thanks shane
Great purchase.
Whilst I enjoyed this build I can't help but feel like there is something missing on it, can't put my finger on what but there is just something a bit off about it. It could be the flat grey of the exhaust system, usually these sections are chromed and the wheels are decidedly odd looking - again no chrome. Even if a chrome-esque finish isn't possible for cost reasons then at least make them from the silver rather than a flat blah grey. Other than that the build was fun - despite me rolling my eyes at the chain build. 43 segments isn't too bad but I still have nightmares from the other chained pieces I've built (Roller Coaster and Haunted House) and connecting this was as much of a pain - I have fat fingers (no nice way to put it) so trying to connect it in a restricted space is a challenge to say the least. Everything fits together snuggly and it felt really sturdy when I was carrying it upstairs to put it in it's display spot. I like the fact that the base slots in to the model rather than connecting to it, makes for a much securer way to display as even if I knock the shelf when arranging displays on another shelf it wobbles a little but I know it isn't going to break apart. Some nice build techniques that whilst I have used them before they are used to good effect here to create a unique display piece. Generally very happy with this completed model. I have been a Lego and Harley Davidson / motorcycle fan for a huge part of my life. Overall it is designed well considering the look this needed to live up to being such an iconic brand. The only thing that I would like to see is with all of Lego's resources, know how and manufacturing abilities surely you could have coloured the “chrome” either silver or something close, the grey is very disappointing once completed in the overall appearance of this kit, also would have liked to have had the Harley tank emblem on the sticker sheet. Maybe this is a personal preference but “chrome” should not be grey
