LEGO Creator Expert James Bond Aston Martin DB5 10262

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I got this for my 21st birthday from my boyfriend. I've been wanting it for sooo long and he surprised me with it. It took a solid 6 hours and we enjoyed spending the time together and building it. There are so many cool little features and details that make it all worth while! The engine is so cool and the seats;why do they look comfy? Get it, you will not regret it!

I am 9 years old and I love making Lego. The Harley Davidson before this I found to be quite challenging but this one was not that difficult and it's really fun to play with. Just sad that I am done making it! I had no help as my parents are not so great at lego (no age category for me above so I put 14).

Received this as an unexpected Christmas present from my brother. My first personal build in over 20 years (all builds in that time were through my children), and it's reignited my passion for building. Before receiving this as a gift, I had considered buying it, but was never fully convinced by the publicity images. As a fan of both James Bond and Aston Martin, something didn't look right. However, after completing the build, it was clear that the images just weren't doing it justice. It really does look so much better when it's physically in front of you. All the little gadgets and moving parts - there was some serious engineering gone into this. Absolute pleasure to build.

Absolutely great build. Thoroughly enjoyed this. It was the first piece of lego I have bought in many years. As a huge Bond fan i had to have it. It really looks the part, it is actually quite heavy! There's a lot to it. The mechanisms can be slightly clunky and catch at times and a piece has fell off while I was trying the electro seat which is worrying but all in all, this was a really fun build and the end product looks amazing. This was very satisfying to build!

Well, Greetings from freezing Athens.Though it hasn't a choice to pick up Greece.Anyway,i got the idea to restart building again Lego due to the adult models and due to my nostalgia from my childhood and legendary El Dorado Fortress.My mom 's gift in long 1990! First of all,i saw that models have a different approach of construction with new bricks and others materials.As the time was passing,i was taking pleasure Aston Martin was a few steps away to be completed.I like the way of building the bone of the car, though one or two mechanisms are not working at full.Anyway, though i bought pirates bay set by the lego page system,i preferred buying that Aston Martin set on my own by visiting a store in Athens to feel that characteristic happiness as i was feeling when i was a kid.I paid 10 euros much more. After James the Deluge!!! Ps Fanatic fan of 007!

It was a fantastic to build, it 150mm wide 300mm long and 125mm high ish! Yes it has the rotating lights to machine guns controlled via the gear stick inside the cabinet. Yes it has the rear bullet proof screen that rises as you turn one of the exhausts. It also has the working Ejector seat by pulling part of the rear bumper. It's one of the best lego car sets out in my humble opinion at the moment. Worth every penny.

Ever since I saw this car in goldfinger I fell in love with Aston Martin so when I saw this set I had to get it. The level of detail from the gadgets to the great facts in the book itself is on another level and was really surprised me and set the bar for what is achievable in lego model. The ejector seat is by far the standout piece Only thing that let's this model down is where is the James bond mini fig??? I mean all the gadgets and not the man himself With this I feel this set would have been perfect

this was a great build. i especially love how the attention to detail is so minute on such a compact set. the seats look great, the engine has much more detail than i thought and even the back had great attention put in it. the drawbacks to this set really is that the inside is very cramped so the lever for the front light guns is hard to reach. also the front license plate doesn't have enough room to turn all the way around and can only show 2 sides.

As a big Bond fan, I loved the thought that went into the gadgets of the car. I particularly like the ejector seat. However the design lacks the curvature of the DB5. From the back especially it looks a bit clunky to me, but the front was a decent enough approximation of the real life car. Perhaps this was done to accommodate for the gadgets, or maybe to fix this issue the model needs to be significantly increased in scale (and therefore price). I enjoyed the building experience and there is still a lot to like here. Despite some shortcomings I would recommend this set for Bond fans.

I don't like this model. It's too ridged and looks like a rectangle. It's frustrating as there's a lot of nice touches, and with a little more thought in the design process, it could've been great, especially with the price tag attached. Pros: - the hidden mechanisms and gadgets are fun and make this a very playful model. - colour scheme is on point, and the metallic finishes to the front and back gives it a little life. Cons: - it's too rectangular. - for the cost involved, I would have expected the badges and emblems to be printed on the pieces. - steering wheel doesn't do anything. - engine is a little dull, could've been improved with some metallic finishing/use of wires/cables. - front grill is just a series of printed pieces, would've been better if it was a formed piece. I like the model, however I haven't found this a enjoyable experience compared to the Mustang (10265).
