I am 34 y.o. and my childhood dream was to have a dollhouse. Unfortunately my parents couldn't afford it,so I have been living all these years with this unfulfilled dream. I have several Lego sets from different themes, but when I came across this adorable modular house,I just couldn't get it out of my mind and bought it. My inner child is so happy now! Love all the cute details and especially blankets. Would love to have more small accesories for the house.
The set is really great! Lots of new building blocks. New characters! My 3-year old daughter built the house in about an hour. Real fun playing!
My two year loves it! Great idea. So many possibilities for a duplo house! I would recommend that you use a bigger base to place it on. I had a large briks base that worked great. Easy to build, great booklet instructions. A lot of basic pieces that can be reused for other building ideas in the future.
We bought this today for our 2 year old. It is his first Lego house and we had fun building together. There is so much detail and things going on for a Duplo set so we are made up with it. Also so many ways to build!
3 year old. Needed only a little assist to follow directions. He loved it. I like the larger lego. Duplo
We got this set to give the parts one needs to build different kind of houses and have a kind of Dublo house role play. We first build the sets in the instructions and since then we have built all kinds of houses. Every time something different. It is so much fun to build it together and discuss what rooms and functions we want in the house that time. Much better option than traditional dollhouse. Wish there was additional set with just pieces to add to the house but so far we have just made things by ourselves.
Two kids ages 2 and 6 who love this set. I can't never put it away, because my two year old insists on having it out all the time. Really upped their game on the new duplo sets. The figurings are inclusive and seem to be more easily bent. The chairs are easier for young toddlers to play with. The only thing that is missing is some flower or tree decorations. We use this with some other sets to build the house and both my kids love this one.
Plenty of bricks in this kit to build a single, two-story, or three-story home. We love the guides and layout ideas in the instruction booklet. Other times we build free hand. The furniture pieces are clever and make this house a home. This kit stays at the grandparents' house for our weekly visit, so the kids can build with them.
This is a wonderfully versatile Lego Duplo set. The playhouse can be configured in three different ways, according to the directions. Of course, as with all Lego sets, kids can figure out hundreds of additional ways to build and play with this set.
This set is cute but with a few changes it could have been so much better. Once the house has been built there is limited space to arrange furniture or play with the figures inside the house. For example, in the kitchen the drawers make it very difficult to stand the figures next to the counter. If the base plate was two rows wider it would have made a huge difference. As well as making the house far more playable it would have encouraged more creative building and arranging. The narrowness of the house is definitely a huge design minus. The couches are also slightly rounded so it makes it hard for my son to sit the figures on them. A design similar to the kitchen stools would have been a much better and more playable choice. I would have preferred if there was a second bedroom and stairs and wouldn't have minded paying extra for these features. Because of the limited playability of the current design, my son usually just takes the pieces out of the house and plays with them on the floor. I might try to get bigger base plates and some extra white blocks to widen the house, otherwise it's cute to look at but doesn't really live up to expectations of being a playable toy.
