I've bought several Lego 'Friends' sets for my 7 year old granddaughter who loves playing with them but as a 68 year old they never really appealed to me.... until I saw this set and just had to buy it as a display piece rather than a play set. It was a joy to build with the overall building design, wonderful plants and so many interesting details.

I'm going to start this review by saying the Botanic Garden is easily the best Lego friends set I've ever seen or built and a phenomenal Lego set in general. I've loved building it and found it really relaxing and joyous. I bought it for myself but as I'm also a parent so it will get played with as well. Overall it's really fun build, not at all repetitive with some really great building techniques. The part use is super innovative and includes some fantastic recolours of previous pieces. The green saxophones for example, make a fantastic monkey jar plant and it's great fun making all the plants. I love the botanical Lego collection and this appeals to me as an adult in a similar way, but it would also will fit superbly in with my Modular buildings. I could also see it in a Winter Village with a few snowy extras. It's interesting enough for an adult builder and very relaxing, but I think a more capable child could easily make this set unaided (my daughter is ten and could manage for example). There is loads of play value here for kids, she loves all the plants and the butterflies in particular. However, we are now planning to put two together and make a bigger garden. The mini dolls are lovely and the colour scheme is wonderful, gone are the old bright garish pink and purple colour schemes of the old Lego Friends, this is just gorgeous and visually very appealing. I picked this set up in person and was surprised by how heavy it was, you do seem to get a lot of parts for your money and lots of pieces spare. I would highly recommend this set, it's gorgeous, fun to build, had lots of play value and would be a wonderful display piece or addition to a Lego town, especially as it's not especially mini doll rather than minifigure sized. Perfect!

If I didn't know it was a 'Friends' themed set, I would be sure it was from the ideas series! It looks absolutely gorgeous😍 I'm not a big fan of LEGO Friends theme, but this year the series really positively surprised me😊 I love all the different plants and an exhibition of butterflies in the dome. It's quite small tho for the price, would be happy with £20 less.

I suspect I am not alone as an AFOL in saying that the Friends theme was of zero interest to me. Then I saw this and thought it looked fabulous. Sadly, my initial enthusiasm was short lived when I discovered the back of the set was open - a bit like a Wild West film set. To be fair to Lego the set is aimed at kids who would want to pose the supplied figures within. So a quick search on Rebrickable revealed a full build - i.e. no open back - which required the purchase of two sets and 4 other parts. The instructions were simple to follow and I am really happy with the result. I've added the set to my moc park and it looks fantastic. Recommended

I adapted this build to fit into my Lego town and have enclosed the sides using additional bricks & windows. I enjoyed building it more than I expected!

I admit I've never had much interest in the friends theme before I came across this set. It's so beautiful however I knew I had to get it. It was a fun, creative build with great parts usage and some interesting building techniques. The piece count was high and the price is fair for what you get. My only complaint is the doll figure and their lack of mobility. Besides that this set is wonderfully designed and makes a great addition to any collection or MOC.

The Friends sets have never really caught my attention till this set. This is a beautiful set and I wish it was just a bit more. So I'm actually going to order a 2nd set and connect the 2 into a full building. Absolutely loved how this set turned out.

It took my breath away when I saw this set. Took me no time to decide that I wanted to build it. The attention to detail is amazing! The architecture of the building and the gorgeous plants. This set is beautiful and was such a pleasure to build. I do think it was a little bit on the small side but overall really beautiful and fun build.

Loved building this, hopefully they make more flower ones like this too!

I bought 2 sets and followed a MOC instruction I bought through Rebrickable. Nice model with some great plant designs. The 2 set design feels much more substantial and impressive than a single open backed version, albeit there were several pieces left over, which of course can be used for another build one day
