LEGO Friends Downtown Flower and Design Stores 41732 Building Set - Buildable Toy with Apartment, Shops, House, and Classic Characters, Model to Customize, Decorate, and Display for Ages 12+

This Lego set was perfect for my 9-year-old granddaughter recuperating from recent surgery. She loves putting together Lego sets and is quite good at it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] They were a bit overwhelmed at first being they have never done a big build. But once we laid it out and got started there was no stopping them. They loved the bright colours of the building itself and whilst building would love going ohhhh that's a chair how cool. The instructions were so detailed and easy to follow. Our 8yo and 10yo took turns doing each bag. But they had so much fun. They love the different rooms and the option to build something else and change them around. Was an amazing team building for them both as well helping each other out along the way if one would get stuck. I also did a few myself which I found super soothing and fun!

It was a little strange that there were multiple bags with the same number (like 2 number 1 bags) but the book only mentioned 1 which confused my daughter at first. This product was great as my daughter and I completed some of it together so I loved that it created quality time and experiences for us. Great product that I would highly recommend.

It was lovely to do something that connected us and we had so many laughs and smiles. There are so many great details to this set, like the little cat food and water bowl and the doggy door. Just so sweet, I loved these details. My daughter is passionate for current events and equality so this set was great. It has so many characters and you can change it up if so many ways from furniture to art in the apartments. So many portions for young ones to play with.

With this being the 10th anniversary of LEGO Friends, I hoped we would get a Modular-sized building to place in Heartlake City and this set comes very close in size and feel. It's a big step up from regular LEGO Friends sets while still staying true to the the themes' feel. Perhaps the goal is to create a set that will appeal to older children who are starting to enter their Dark Ages, possibly getting bored with the regular sized LEGO Friends sets, but not ready just yet for sets aimed at adults. The 41732 Downtown Flower and Design Stores is a nice bridge between those 2 audiences that was missing for fans of the LEGO Friends theme. The finished front will look great in a city layout, while the open back also gives enough play options.

The only thing that I wasn't happy about which was there was a number of bags but there was two number one bags and the booklet did not have that in the instructions so the kids got a bit upset at the start thinking there was going to be a lot of missing pieces but as I continued on did find that there was an extra bag for the start

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Lego friends downtown flower and design store play set has been a winner in our house. My child has never done a set this big before but it was engaging and gave incentive to keep building by spreading the character throughout the build packs. With only a little help it was actually pretty easy to build on their own. Once the build is completed, it's play time and it hasn't disappointed. We love that it has many inclusive characters and lots of different spaces for them to move around, both inside and out. I can see this set being played with for a long time to come.

The range of characters, their ages, gender and lifestyle within the playset, whether it be in the shop, home or working gives opportunity for so much open ended play. The furniture can all be arranged to suit your child's play. The build takes a while so patience is key! It provides a fantastic opportunity for time together and will provide endless hours of play and fun together

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. This set is absolute incredible. There are so many pieces and parts that it kept my daughter endlessly occupied for hours. She loves all the different characters and being able to play "store". Great deal actually considering how many pieces are included in this set. Highly recommend to all with kids!! Might be a bit challenging for a younger child but still worth a shot even!
