Hogwarts:First Flying Lesson was such a fun build. I loved getting the 20th Anniversary Golden Professor Quirrell and the 2 Collectable Wizard Cards.
It was dream set for my girl. She was so exited! It's part of our Hogwarts castle now. Amazing😍😍
Very good little set, was hoping to get a little more out of it for the price, but other than that it was awesome! Lots of new cool pieces in this set though, highly recommend!
Grandson loves Harry Potter and is interested in flying. This product covered both interests.
Great item for a collector
This is not needed to make the castle. However it is needed if you want the full set of Gold Figures. At least it displays well
This was a great addition to our granddaughter's Harry Potter Lego collection. It was age appropriate and came with multiple figures and accessories for fun playing. I would buy this again.
I'm very happy with this scene being given a go in bricks. It's also very nice to have a set in which there is none of the main trio. I feel like I'm facing a tsunami of Harrys each time I open my HP minifig box. Happy to see Neville and especially Madam Hooch! The icing on the cake is the remembrall. That is a really cool prop to have as a printed brick. I know people usually complain about stickers. This time I'd say we miss one: the Hogwarts crest on the Quidditch set trunk. There could also have been clips on the walls to store the brooms, or a wee broomshed. But those are buildable with spare bricks any odd day, so that's not a real problem. My main issue is the structural question of why in the name of Merlin did Lego go for those webbed plates instead of regular ones? Nobody can use them for playing because minifigs cannot be standing there. That is a real fail in my opinion, if I consider only placing minifigs in there, interacting. Quite a bit of a shame. However, on the whole it is a nice little set, and the trophy case is a really good addition, making this part of the castle really Quidditchy.
Lego is always coming out with very tempting build kits. I had never built a Lego kit before and looking at their box really did not answer my questions. I was apprehensive due to not knowing how evolve the building would be vs any instructions and the price (seemed rather pricey for a build yourself). My first Lego kit was the 945 piece Wicked “Welcome to Emerald City”. This one being Harry Potter “Hogwarts: First Flying Lesson”. I guess the flying arms attracted me. It came with a 90 page booklet that does show which pieces and step by step build. So no worries there, just have to pick out the correct pieces and be very sure. If goof, can pull apart again. This kit had 2 main build envelopes with smaller envelopes inside. Built just fine. Note: LEGO always included some smaller extra pieces too. I had brought some other Lego pricey kits that I returned, mainly due to the micro size of Lego overall. Both Harry Potter and Wicked have a lot of bigger play kits available. Some shown in pics. The little dolls for them are extremely detailed and almost twice the size of Lego figures. Sometimes like for the Wicked Emerald city the larger figures could work. So really just a matter of preference really and I chose the larger already built items. See pics.
Box came partially opened %26 smashed in .. Won't know until Christmas if anything is missing because I don't feel like going through the hassle of returning %26 reordering.
