I love Lego but this design just won me over from first time I saw it and I knew I had to have it! I loved building it and it is a beautiful design to have around. 100% worth it and I'm looking forward to collecting more pieces I love!

As everyone are saying this is a wonderful set. Detail are awesome. Using bumper car for top window, using head snake for balcony detail, gun for modern hand-door. There is many detail i'll use now that i didn't think of, I will tried not repeat other saying but it a good addition if you love building and if you're not into building, it still a nice addition for your LEGO collection. Thank you LEGO i was waiting for it and ordered the day it release and very happy end result. Happy Birthday to the 15 years Building Creator, oh and well done on the booklet with mini story around the book.

First of all I loved building this set all of the Easter eggs and the info on where some of the themes of where bricks came from. It is also great value for money as you get so many pieces allowing them to get the most detail out of the space provided. Lastly I send my congrats to the designers that made this set and made my birthday so special.

I have in to lego for years but decided to take a break I just a month ago git back into it and this is my first modular building and I love it! As someone who's not super advanced I found it a perfect difficulty! I would 100% recommend buying this lego set for anyone who isn't a expert or who loves lego!

This may be my favourite modular so far. I love them all, but this one really strikes a chord with me. The style and eloquence reminds me of Europe, or New Orleans and a bit of Miami thrown in too. I wish the interiors were a bit bigger, but the detailing is a treat. My city could use a Museum, an old church.

I brought the Boutique Hotel for myself. It's been long anticipated and I set about getting it the day it as released. There are so many things I like about this modular building, and these are just some of them. The flooring on the main ground floor is exquisite, and I love the way the base plates are configured to achieve the shape of the building. The large flower pot is just elegant and absolutely love the Mondrian & the Picasso style paintings. It's so nice to see different ways of creating interior furniture, for example the various beds within the hotel and the cabinets. I am truly in my element! Other features I love are the mini figures especially the one with the pull along luggage, the coffee cart and the bath with the consideration for the plug hole. The mini figures within the Lego world are truly catered for in this well needed hotel. I love this building so much, I'm 100% glad I brought it and would highly recommend to others. This is a needed modular building for anyones lego city, to play with or to add to a collection.

Everything is right with this set. Build experience was off the charts, colors are amazing, storyline works well, minifigures are updated just enough. I can say enough about this set! I bought a second one a week later!

Excellent work Lego! I had to build a new shelf this year as the collection expands in the play room. I enjoyed the instruction manual with the fun facts. The ‘angle' build was the special feature of this model, always impressed.

My wife bought this for me for my birthday recently as I've undergone a bit of a Lego renaissance thanks to my boys hitting an age where they're playing with Lego. Compared to some other sets, you seem to get a lot of bricks for the money. The build itself took me a few evenings as I like to take my time - but was highly enjoyable and a good destress. It's a great-looking set for display too. Even the wife doesn't mind it out on show (unlike my Star Wars sets!) The main reason I flagged this as a 3 star for playability is I don't think this set is intended as a playset due to the size of the rooms inside the building - a bit snug to act out stories for young imaginations. You'd have to have a city around this to make playing really engaging - nothing against the set itself - there's only so much you can cram in. Lots of details to capture the imagination and some great minifigs. If you have any of the earlier Creator Expert buildings, there are some Easter eggs I'll not spoil. Overall, great set to build, great concept and I'm now planning which set to ask for next Christmas/Birthday to start my city off!

While I enjoyed the build experience, there were a few areas where I felt quality control was lacking. 1. The hole between the ground floor and the floor above on the alley side. I kept going back to see where I went wrong but once I read a couple of reviews, I realised this was either intentional (why?), nobody had spotted it in the design and testing phases (I find that hard to believe) or it was just ignored (again, why?). I can't understand why it would be left there as it was easily fixed with a few 2x1 and 1x1 bricks (see photo). I didn't have the correct colour but the white looks ok until I get them. I did the fix after I'd finished building but when I get the correct bricks I'll redo the whole wall to be neater. 2. The roof. While I know this is a modular build, leaving one side of the roof without any railing looks shoddy. A real roof would, more than likely, have the railing around all 4 sides even if attached to another building. I didn't have any snakes so I improvised with some other pieces. It looks much more finished with that (see photo). 3. The alley is a bit of a cop out. I can accept the art gallery only being one floor but then to have a pretty much empty alley is really not great, given the price. It just seems like penny pinching.
