I buy a lot of big LEGO sets and this is by far one of the best ones. I bought this with the money i was given for my birthday in the London Store and even from opening the box it was great. There were all sorts of easter eggs not only on the set but on the instructions from quotes from the film to aspects on the boat. The build took me a while to make but it was really fun building it and the detail was amazing especially in the cabin. The building of the cannons was a relaxing project and was super satisfying to move when done. i really liked the aspect of being able to open all the cannons at once even if it is a bit stiff to start. Overall a great build and i would recommend to anyone who enjoyed the film
This build is great. I loved everything about it. The details in the bottom with all the cannons to the back of the ship with the table and seats. Its easy enough for beginners yet just a fun all around build for anyone. It looks great as a display as thats why I build.. I would say yes to anyone asking to build this..
I bought this for my husband , however, it’s so addictive I can’t keep away so have ended up helping each night. It’s now our date night hobby lol great team work and actually great fun. Instructions are easy to read and this great watching it all come together.
The product is beautifully made although I would prefer the rigging to look tighter when installed. The finish is first class and the mechanisms work very smoothly. I am thrilled to have got this set, and found the build itself highly addictive, to the point where I was sad that it was finished. I wanted to keep building. The finished ship is now displayed in the sitting room and absolutely holds its own as an ornament. I take my hat off to the design team, who did an astoundingly fine job.
As a long-time LEGO fan and a lover of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, I couldn’t have been more excited to build the LEGO Jack Sparrow’s Pirate Ship – and it definitely didn’t disappoint! First off, the detail is absolutely incredible. From the intricate rigging to the iconic black sails, this set captures the essence of the Black Pearl in a way that’s both stunning and realistic. The ship itself is full of personality, with amazing attention to the smallest of details—like the cannons on the side, the captain's quarters, and the ship’s wheel. Even the figurehead is perfectly recreated. Building it was a blast! The instructions were clear, and the process flowed smoothly, making it accessible for both seasoned LEGO builders and beginners. The challenge was just right, providing a satisfying experience without being too difficult. And once built, the ship is remarkably sturdy, making it great for display or play. The minifigures included are a highlight as well—Jack Sparrow himself looks spot-on, and the other characters like Will Turner, Elizabeth Swann, and a pirate crew member all add to the fun and make for endless play possibilities. What I really love about this set is how it balances both form and function. It’s not just a beautiful piece for your shelf, but also a fantastic playset for recreating your favorite scenes from the Pirates of the Caribbean films. The ship is big enough to feel impressive, but it’s still compact enough to display easily. In conclusion, this LEGO set is a must-have for Pirates of the Caribbean fans and LEGO enthusiasts alike. Whether you’re an adult collector or building it with kids, it’s a fun, rewarding experience that results in an amazing finished product. The Black Pearl is now a centerpiece in my collection, and I couldn’t be happier with it!
I grew up with legos and enjoy them, but never buy them now, especially expensive ones. However, the Black Pearl was a must for me. Growing up with the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, this build instantly gave me nostalgia for the series. The build is super fun and detailed and makes for a wonderful display piece. Highly recommend for all lovers of the series!
This set is brilliant, so many amazing Building techniques and CPU’s. I see that ,unlike the original black pearl, it does not come with Davy jones, Maccus, or Bootstrap Bill. I hope this is because we will be getting a Flying Dutchman set in the future?? 😃 thanks again - Jake
I’m a huge fan of the Pirates of the Caribbean and this was a must have. I would have liked it bigger with more space to move below deck. I would also have liked more black piece for the Black Pearl. I understand random colors were used for different reasons but the Black Pearl should be black maybe with some grey or brown. The cannons were fun to build. I like how they open and close. The minifigures are great. I hope to see more related sets like the Flying Dutchman, Silent Mary or Queen Anne’s Revenge or Tortuga.
The build was entertaining, the rotating cannons are a highlight. Only gripe was that the cpt's quarters and the doors aren't connected (due to wheel-rudder mechanism i presume) and there was no anchor pulley mechanism (they only hook-on) . And some choice of figures, namely Jack(the monkey) and maybe Pintel and Ragetti.
It was a really nice build, but I feel like it needs more mini figures. Also, the door to the captains quarters doesn’t connect to the actual captains quarters. I understand why, but i feel like there could’ve been some sort of workaround to make the door connect. Overall, I liked it. Great display piece.
