I first saw the set in store and it instantly caught my eye. The colours alone and the fact that it's a unique set I personally haven't seen attempted before. I started to build at a leisurely rate and at a time of 3-4 hours it was enjoyable throughout. Using new techniques I haven't done before and the blocks used for the water is simply special. The wings and torso are so seem less even the plants are great. If you're looking for another addition or you're a nature loving individual who wants a centre piece this set is brilliant.

This build is gorgeous and is a beautiful action shot of the Kingfischer. The build was fun, albeit the two wings felt repetitive. Overall, I would highly recommend to any collections looking for a great nature addition to their collection.

It was so fun to make it was very nicely challenging. Looks beautiful in the sunlight and just is a very good decoration for any room.

We have many different Lego sets of different difficulty/price/amount of pieces. This is by far the nicest looking/to make/time to make Lego set for its cost. It looks sooo pretty pn our shelf and it was very fun to make. It was so cheap I still can't believe it!

Great build, Don't get me wrong the head and body tried My patience and the stand kept falling apart until another 5 steps later to hold It together but overall its absolutely stunning and absolutely worth it. Fish doesn't really look like a fish? But otherwise fantastic. I was missing a bit in my pack but quickly managed to get a replacement bit sorted.

This beautiful kingfisher was my first set since I came back to Lego as an adult. I've spent about 5 hours building it, and the whole process was super interesting, so thoughtful, and fun! The result is just amazing, I hope that Lego will make more bird models like this one. I'd highly refommend this set to anyone!

I'm pretty new to Lego, but I really wanted to give this one a try. I made a few mistakes as I progressed, but utilizing the Lego Builder app helped when I was stuck. Overall, I'm really pleased with how this turned out. Now I need to find the perfect place to display it!

Would definitely recommend this, it was harder than I thought it would be which was great.

Overall this was a fun build, I found parts 'grew' very quickly; the base and most of the water effects were fast but I made the mistake of doing the 'splashes' at night which made the transparent bits tricky under artificial light. Body, wings, tail were no problem but the head (and fitting it) was a bit of a nightmare. Lego has a habit of securing a fairly large, solidly built part of a model to another in a way which requires you to hold it by or fix it with a hugely more fragile part, which inevitably results in bricks pinging off or coming apart and needing to be reconstructed. Such was the case with the head here which took me a few attempts to sit nicely and keep all its bricks together. Once completed it does look good but needs to be displayed at the right height for best effect.
