This set is really interesting to learn about Leonardo's flying machine. The mechanism you build with the set are very interesting and works really well. The whole set is nice and looks great. It's not difficult to assemble but requires patience because it has a lot of small pieces. I enjoyed building this LEGO set.

Adding this set as one of my favorite build, display, and mechanical favorites! Each of the major steps provides you with a fun and unique build experience. The stand build helps in not only the display process, but in utility to build the steps that follow. Wow, and the end step weaves it all together with the creatively engineered string (which is sturdy) to enable the flapping action. Hey, it doubles as a fancy fan for all the Steampunk cosplayers (and the Series 27 Steampunk figure accompanies it so good!). It isn't nearly as complex as I thought it would be. Pace yourself and enjoy the thoughtfully crafted tribute to this Flying Machine. I enjoyed the nuggets of history and the Leonardo da Vinci minifigure is amazing, complete with the sketch brick of the Flying Machine's plans. Recommended and a keeper for the LEGO display (as long as you can resist flapping around with it!).

I loved making this set and I think it has a great design. The moving wings and tail are a great touch with good mobility. The set was larger than expected which isn't necessarily a bad thing, just make sure you check the measurements so you dont have to adjust your shelves or anything. It's a great build to just look at and its currently displayed next to my Neuchwanstein castle, ship in a bottle, and fossil sets.

God lego real nailed alot of cool details.in this one. It makes one heck of a cool display piece when finished. I usually rotate sets, but i can always find a place for this one. The building experience is a great as well. The genius behind getting the wings and tail to flap just right, while holding up to repeated playing sessions( i often find myself playing with the wing mechanism when i walk by ) is just a testiment to the skills.of.the designers at lego. The build itself is really really.enjoyable. It takes around an hour to build, but has some tricky bits that required concentration that keeps it all interesting. You get to use those rope pieces too, which are always fun. I love the printed details on the wings and leo. I liked the build so much im going to grab another when its on sale for a friend just to show him what lego is up to.

This set provides for some new and unique building /constructing techniques. I especially enjoyed the wing construction and how movement is achieved.

Had fun building the set, the 3d interactive instructions on the Ipad were extremely helpful great update for the builder app. The lego itself was a great rendition from Da Vinci's designs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Lego building set is one of the most executive toy, Colour, shape and size - all of these makes the perfect display aesthetic toy that could be proudly seating in any office or cabinet. Building process wasn't very easy to be honest, but the instructions are pretty well explained, so you just have to follow. Definitely recommend it

Lego for adults well it may be small but this set challenged me but loved the experience of building this set now on display at my home office. Great value for money for a few hours of entertainment. I really enjoyed putting this set together! It was a very quick build (1.5 hr), but really fun. The detail is great, & it will reside right next to the Amelia Earhart Tribute set (another enjoyable build). Look forward to any other possible sets of this ilk in the future.
