LEGO Ideas 21318 Tree House Building Kit (3,036 Pieces)

I bought this set for my 7yo son. He loves lego and has just finished reading the kids book "The 14-storey Treehouse". We built it together over a wet weekend and loved the challenge. I also bought an aftermarket lighting set, and wow that just makes it all the more incredible. Definitely a display piece now, actually now it has become my sons "night-light" and he loves it!

I bought my first Lego set, Steamboat Willie, at Christmas. I bought my husband a Harley Fat Boy, but ended up doing it myself. By the time I'd done both I was hooked! I saw this tree house and loved it - had to have it. I didn't rush to make it, one or two packs each evening and waiting for my grandson who loves to help. So, it took about a week but what a magnificent model it is! So much detail - congrats to the designers! My grandson came up with a good question - why aren't there any small leaves, in yellow, to put on the ground? Leaves always fall on the ground in autumn. I have to agree especially as the flowers will need to be taken away. Nevertheless, a magnificent model and a credit to Lego.

Whort every money, some challenging building,where to place thing?...Difficult to see in the instructions. No stickers:-) The finish Tree house look good in my living room!! Better than the pictures on net, told me. And one of many cool things is the swing,that moves and never stops if you have a lego figure on it....

Not only does this set have the Waw factor, but the experience of building it was extraordinary! The first time I saw the set, it immediately caught my eye. The attention to detail on this Lego is stunning. I absolutley love this Lego. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who would love to add this cool lego to their collection.

I've been wanting this tree house for awhile, unfortunately got it when prices have risen. This is a great build but the in the instructions are quite hard espy for the tree trunk,I found that most instructions are highlighted or blanked out but this just had arrows which was quite hard when working on brown on brown,also once the tree top and leaves are on its hard to access the huts to take the rooves off.also what is with the scissors under the parents bed??I love all the quirky little bits,it's fun to make all the huts,hardest bit is the trunk. Got it in my newly decorated bedroom.i bought the egg and fried egg from another store.

This set combines everything I love about Lego Ideas sets. It has the love and the attention to details of the fan designer and the polish of a professional Lego designer. The set is big, sturdy, looks amazing as a display piece and has great playability. The only thing I can complain about are the instructions. There is one place where a building technique is so unusual that I had to check the other reviews to get it right (the instructions should have been more specific). The other thing is that the wood is represented by lighter and darker brown pieces. If you are not working in ideal lighting conditions or have a slight color blindness, you might find it tricky to distinguish between the two colors in the instructions (the pieces themselves are different enough). Highlighting the darker brown with a white outline (as it is done with the black colored pieces) would make it much easier to distinguish. Overall, building the cabins was very enjoyable and I am very happy with the final result. Lego, please stop making such great sets, I am running out of space ^^

When I saw this set I knew I had to have it. It's a bit pricey but totally worth it. Probably one of the prettiest Lego sets and it looks even better live! The built was very satisfying and, as long as you follow the instructions, fairly straightforward. I had some challenges with finding where pieces should go around the tree and sometimes had to go back because I put something on the wrong side. Now I just have to find someplace to display this beauty at home!

Had to have this set. My girlfriend treated me to a Lego voucher so I took my chance. Built it over a few days which I always do. I enjoy the build more. Was very impressed with the design and overall finish. The option of different seasonal leaf colours is a nice touch. It gets a five brick rating from me so thank you Lego. It as made lovely addition to my collection.

About 95% of the way through the build I found that I had run out of the autumn leaves. My set was provided with 5 bags of the normal leaves and 3 bags of the autumn ones (Instead of what I assume to be 4 of each) leaving me out of autumn leaves by step 866 out of 894. Customer services wasn't able to immediately help because the bags with the leaves aren't numbered as normal bags are. So I've needed to go through the regular missing parts request and manually work out what I'm missing. The build is amazing and well worth it's money but having it sit there for up to a couple weeks unfinished reduced it to a 4/5 for me.

While we love the way this build turned out, we did have a couple issues with it. The first issue is that we are over 60+ years of age and use the "LEGO Builders App" for all of our kits that have the instructions on the app. The problem with this particular kit is doing the build itself, in that even on the app, it's hard to see where a lot of the pieces go due to the fact that the colors are green on green, brown on brown, etc. You can only zoom in on the screen, it doesn't rotate so you can see gaps, etc., and the pieces you are working on don't have the highlight. The ability to rotate and have highlighted pieces for placement would make this kit much more enjoyable to do. We did do a variety of the leave colors so that we don't have to change them out, which is definitely not as easy as suggested could be done. Living in the southeast in the U.S., we call this 'changing of the colors,' which happens every fall. Issue #2 is that the roofs on top of the 'rooms' just don't seem to be as nice as they could be - there are fairly large spaces between the four sections of each roof, and they 'wobble,' instead of being strongly connected as one roof.
