This set is so beautiful. It looks stunning on display in my hallway and doesn't look ‘kiddy'. The set is good value for money and has a good price per piece ratio. I would recommend this set for builders aged 13+ as some parts can be tricky/repetitive, such as lining up the correct wooden planks on the exterior. However, I personally didn't struggle with any part of the build, but I have built alot of LEGO in my lifetime,so that may be in part with learning tricks and tips along the way from building other sets! In short, do get this set if youre into the modular type builds and the 18+ sets. Lots of great details and decoration and good value!
This is a beautiful set with a lot of detail inside and out. I changed two things. I ordered a few pieces and doubled up on how many branches and leaves there were. I also played with the angle of the branches to make it more full. I am happy with the look up close and far away now. I also lifted up some of the tiles on the roof to give it texture but had to do this during the building phase as it's difficult to modify after the fact.

Without a doubt, this is the best set I have created to date. The storytelling elements involved with this set are fantastic and I love all the hidden details throughout the set. The modular elements of the trees allow for a lot of versatility. I hope Lego considers doing more nature themed 18+sets like this going forward. I decided to setup a diorama featuring the wonderful speedmaster DB5 James bond set!
I really enjoyed building this, and loved all the small details, i.e. typewriter, toilet paper at the back of the house, the hidden Italian flag underneath the house. And also as always in the lego ideas manuals I really enjoyed reading the info and stories about the set and what inspired it! Overall really good build, and looks absolutely beautiful on my lego shelf.
The A-Frame Cabin is a beautiful build and the process goes very smoothly. The details both inside and outside are great. It looks pretty once built with the cute birds and the beaver and the mini figures and the little boat. The cabin is still in the Lego build tray in the picture as it needs more baseplates to build a stream and more trees/shrubs around it.
Love this set, it was really fun to put together. My only complaint is that when you "attach" the outside sections to the main piece, they don't actually click together, they're just sort of pushed together, unlike the Viking Village where all three sections connect together beautifully.
i enjoyed the build, great set. My issue is the quality control with lego. box was damaged, lots of parts with msrks from when they take them out of the molds. so frustrating with the amount of money spent
