I recently got this set as a Birthday gift and i have to say i really enjoyed the building experience its a great fit to my collection as im from the UK the little replicas that represent each landmarks spot on to its real life counterparts plus it does look great on display next to my our Architecture series
This set is really cool to build had a great time building and learning new facts that were in the instruction manual The london eye i found a little challanging but otherwise its really cool
Very Good Set, Took about 2 hours and was worth every second. I like the idea of the skyline sets and this has influenced me to buy more. My only gripe is that the London Eye is very flimsy for it's size. The instructions were easy to follow and bricks were easy to find, I loved the bits of info related to what I was building. Overall a great set.
I love the London skyline, I have Singapore skyline and they are both my favourite. I love how you can open and close the London bridge's actual bridge. And I love the build technique for the London eye.
This was a gift from my girlfriend for Christmas. As a huge Lego fan growing up, this was a great set to re-spark my love of the magical bricks. Not a difficult set, lots of small pieces but easy to follow instructions. Upon completion I was really happy with the end result. Now looking for my next challenge.
This is my first Lego architecture line (a gift from a close relative), and as a Brit I'm jolly pleased to have received a cityscape of London. The design is a smart, delicate, well thought-through build to a Lego architecture set. The shapes and subtle colour schemes of the miniature buildings balance with each other perfectly. To achieve such detail on a remarkably small-scale is very impressive. Whilst the majority of the build was relatively straight forward, I found the building of the London Eye to be most tricky in terms of achieving symmetry with the 'pods' around the wheel. It's a clever design but the wheel does tend to wobble around a lot if being moved. But as it's a display piece I don't think this really matters. It's worth remembering though, that although this set is designed for observation rather than 'play', the build can be dismantled at your discretion so you can make other things with the available bricks - it is Lego after all! In conclusion this is a wonderful, impressively splendid model perfect for display.
I bought this set as my first foray back into Lego since my teens and I'm glad I did. I live in London and adore our old architecture so it was nice to see a set that celebrated that. Trickiest part was constructing the millennium wheel but I was pleased I managed it. Favourite part is Tower Bridge as it actually works and looks great. Would have liked more detailing on the mini Trafalgar Square and maybe a mini St Paul's Cathedral but I'm very happy with how this now looks on my shelf and will probably get the Paris set next.
This was my first architecture set and I had to buy it. Loved the detailing of each sight. Was quick and fun to build. The eye was a little fiddly but ok. Price reasonable. Would recommend.
Very charming city of London representation in that small scale. I had really good time while building that set. It looks great on my desk, but even that I'm pretty sure I will dismantle it one day and start to construct it again.
This is the wife's second Lego set with the first being Architecture Big Ben. She says everything about it is great except the Wheel. It is wobbly and doesn't look complete. We both agree with the previous review that the top of the Wheel should be white.
