LEGO IDEAS Love Birds 750pcs

First off, this set is absolutely adorable. I love the way the leaf elements frame the birds themselves, and both of their colors pop off of the brown of our tree. That being said, sets like this are bound to have a fair amount of repetition, and I did not have a blast affixing flowers to leaves to stems to branches to trunks over and over again. The tree itself, on the other hand, was an excellent building experience, with studs going in all directions. My complaints can hardly take away from its display value, however, and it's hard to resist standing back and admiring the build as a whole.

In another review I spoke about the kingfisher bird I built in 2024 This was my first Lego build in 2025] and now serves as one of the centerpieces of what has become my bird collection that consists of: set 31170 [3-in-1, built as flamingo] set 31173 [3-in-1, built as toucan] set 31136 [3-in-1, parrot] set 31144 [3-in-1, pink parrot] set 10031 [kingfisher bird] set 21365 [love birds] set 31154 [3-in-1, built as owl] set 31149 [3-in-1, built as birds] set 31384 [3-in-1, as hummingbird] set 31165 [3-in-1, built as penguin] My experience with this build is that it really married the best components of the birds and the botanical collection, since the set included the tree and its branches and flowers as an integral part of the set and the designers did an excellent job of executing the visuals from both the birds and the botanicals. - For builders who might consider developing a similar "naturalist" collection I would also suggest adding to these the Lego insect collection, the Tyrannosaurus, the evolution of STEM, the planet Earth and moon in orbit and [on my list to purchase] the 3-in-1 space exploration telescope collectively [pun intended] this has become, along with a complete set of the botanical sets I have in my home, a really enjoyable way for me to engage in my interest in science [as a retired dentist and pathologist]

The love birds were really fun to build. Easy to build and no trouble with pieces or instructions. I would like to see more bird builds like nesting or with a bird house. Maybe a mom with babies.

Fun to build, let my 5 year old help with the birds and some of the tree. Makes a great piece to display on the mantle. Love that you can change up the birds positions and directions

First time trying to the 2 person build on the app and it was very fun for me and my partner. The leaves got annoying to do, but that's a personal issue more than anything. Id definitely recommend this for partners.

A few times when building the tree portion I had to go back and retrace my steps because there are a lot of similar color and similar looking pieces. The birds weren’t too difficult to do and the final product is cute and unique

I bought the set because I loved the colour scheme however the neon pink of the actual bricks in the build is nothing like the advertised image and looks tacky! Would never have purchased if the image portrayed matched the actual build! First time ever we've been disappointed with a lego set with thousands spent on lego as a family over the years
