This is a beautiful set, with a robust structure, and built to last for a long time. A set that the whole family can enjoy playing with! I still remember the giggles and laghters of my little girl when we finally finished building this set and started to play foosball for the very first time! This set fulfills two different purposes, and does both beautifully. Well done Donát and the designer team!
Great simple build , fun choice of mini figs to mess about with , solid build just wished the bench had been incorporated with main build and not separate.
We had so much fun putting this set together, it took us a few days with our schedule but we enjoyed it. I love all the details and the storage under the seating is great for all the extra spectators that came with it. We have it sitting on our coffee table and everyone that comes over wants to play it. The instructions were very detailed and clear. Highly recommend this set for the older Lego fans!
I built this set myself. My kids put together the characters. It is a fairly easy build. Everything is solid, except the ball catch mechanism, which could be attached more securely. Playing the game after finishing the build is fun. Works pretty smoothly. Ball does get stuck between characters or on the side of the field. But, the fact I have a working foosball table built from legos is awesome. You get a lot of customizable characters, which is fun to mess with. Overall, this was an excellent set to build which will see a lot of play post-build.
This is my first Lego set and I really liked it, the instructions are very detailed and very easy to assemble. I collected everything in a few hours, almost without distraction. And I even managed to play with my wife) it's a pity that the child is still too small to assemble together) but I bought a Duplo kit for him and I also assembled it) I encountered some difficulties in assembling, namely, there were no parts in the kit. I was hoping they would end up in other bags, but no. They weren't there at all... it's a pity. I hope I won't face such a problem in the future.
A very tedious build not helped by a manual that had unnecessary steps to build the same things 2 or 3 times when it could have be made known at the start of the building steps.some parts do some parts don't. The original idea looked far superior to this build.
This set had the potential to be great but was mostly a bit of a let down. I'm not an experienced lego builder (this is only my 3rd set in the last 30 years) and the build was simplistic even for me! The finished football table is just too small to be playable and the goal keeper needs to be on a separate rod to the defenders. Being able to customize your team with such a large number of heads/hair is great but the reality is you will never end up doing this because this "playable" set is totally unplayable and is really just a display piece. Lego have really missed the mark with this one - it could have been an incredibly good set but it is poor.
The orginal Fan Art looked very good and then LEGO turn it into this! I've never seen a Table Football game have the Defenders standing next to the Goalkeeper! For some reason this looks like a shoebox, minifigures are good but the price is just unreasonable. If you want it wait for a sale!
When I initially heard that this Ideas set had been approved I was excited and thought It would definitely be part of my collection. However, I'm really disappointed by how the Ideas set has been changed. In my opinion, this is how the set could be improved: Less expensive Bigger (11v11) Personally I would have preferred monochrome figures so the set aligned more accurately with traditional table football games.
As Lego deleted my last review I've had to post again ! The set is too small by far, not fun to make and unplayable ( if it's meant to be ) and It's ridiculously over priced
