Best Jurassic Set I Ever Got

RexyDaDinosaur August 29, 2024

My kids enjoyed this set, they liked building it, but took them 3ish hours to build it, but they enjoyed playing with it, they can't stop playing with the set and liked recreating some of the scene of the movie, thanks Lego for making a fabulous set.

better at a cheaper price

Mark July 2, 2024

honestly, for what it is, it's cool i always been a fan of jurassic Park merchandise, but save your money when the set goes on sale since this shouldn't be more than 100$ but overall fun build and cool min figures would have been better with a extra raptor.

Made extremely well, very life like. Our grandson loved all the sets he received and he has them on display in his bedroom. He's a neat freak, like me, so everything is set up just perfect. We will be buying more from you in the very near future.

Nice 30th anniversary set, but could be bigger

Jackamus93 June 17, 2023

Upon completion, I was surprised how small this set actually was. Going on the price, it's very expensive for what you get. The box media is very misleading, the steps, the water... is all just box art to help sell it as a much bigger set. It's a very flat, thin design. Around the back, the two scenes (the dining area with the jelly, and the lab) have barely any studs to extend the set. It's hard to find somewhere to stand the minifigures. A triangular flat piece here to connect two edges would have been great. The columns would have been better if they had a fossil sticker attached too. And the jelly needs a spoon- something so basic but was in the T Rex Rampage set. The skeleton structure was a nice build however I'd happily surrender that for a better structure design. The roof is probably the worst part. Black bricks are very visible between the light brown circular roof pieces, and the two smaller roof domes on the sides don't sit perfectly centred, compared to the large dome in the middle. Overall, it's fine. It's an iconic scene for an amazing film, I'm glad it exists. But the pricing is horrendous, and this should really have been an adult set. Charge double and have the detailing, the outdoor steps, the computer room, even a sticker on the front doors to add some texture. Basic designs were missed, it's disappointing.

Classic Jurassic park scene

PresidentCleverCake August 1, 2023

This Jurassic park welcome centre set has everything you need to recreate the iconic T-Rex scene from the movie. Fun to build and I like the little details. Good selection of minifigures and dinosaurs.

i have been losing faith in legos they make it look so big on the box but when you see the completed build its not that spectacular. especially for the price

Better than nothing

Got to say I wasn't impressed at all when the set was unveiled and pretty much got it because who knows when/if another Visitor Centre will come along, I do like it more than I thought I did, however I wish Lego had spared no expense. Cons: -To me it looks more like a spaceship than a building, probably because it doesn't have floors, there was a Lego masters episode where a build was criticised for missing some flooring so this feels very odd to me and I can't stick the mini figures anywhere, it's my main grip with it, the lack of stairs, proper fountain is noticeable, there's just something not working here, but overall catches the overall look and feel -I really don't like the skeleton, it's tiny, it's not pretty, I didn't enjoy building it at all due to being micro pieces, and somehow it just feels random, cause there's no place to put it, doesn't add anything, really wish they've use that piece count for something else. -Stickers: not that many thankfully, but I have an old Lego set where the stickers are peeling off so I fear for the future of these (although my T-Rex breakout worries me a lot a more) think Lego needs to stop cheapening out on this Pros: -the lab and the restaurant are the joy of this build, specially the latter the detail is just right, the glass artwork are beautiful and it just hits all the nostalgia buttons. -The dinos are pretty cool, while I'm very familiar with their designs I never had any of those and they are pretty cute. Overall it's a kids set so it's fine I guess, I'd gone nuts if this existed when I was a kid, but I'd wish Lego had gone all out with an adult build, but every year is an anniversary so who knows, I'm still so happy they made the T-Rex breakout scene so this is just nice bonus.

Fun Nostalgia but not the best design

brett January 11, 2024

I enjoyed building this set, however once it was complete, I realized that it's difficult to play with because the model is so small. Some of my favorite pieces, such as the velociraptor stained glass was so tiny it's hardly visible with the other pieces so close by. This could have been a much better design if it were bigger.
