I like to collect all the minifigure series and I find these cases the best way to display them. I have 5 on my wall at the moment. And I want to add more. A must for any collector.
Love them for my Lego Star Wars Minifigure collection!
This Lego was a big hit with my grandson. It was as pictured and displays his Star Wars figures nicely. He wants more to stack on top of the one he has .
AWESOME display case for Lego Minifigures! So excited to purchase this item as a gift, because the style is perfect for showing off special collectable Lego Minifigures. Even better in person. Know it will be well used and enjoyed.
Display case allows you to show off front and back of 16 minifigs. Also comes with 16 4x4 flat Lego base plates so the minis stay in place! Minifigs not included.
This item is a fantastic dedicated solution for the display and storage of regular Lego Minifigures. There is definitely a need to be realistic in expectations for the space available in each alcove, when considering accessories to include with a standard minifigure. The doors can also be a bit awkward to open when new, especially on the 16 variant. If possible, a similar product sized for minifigures with larger accessories like the 1984 Wonder Woman and her wing piece, or even the "big figs" such as Hulk or Killer Croc would be excellent. However if your intent is to display your minifigures without a need or desire to be regularly removing and replacing them from the cases, these points are largely moot for most (but not all) minifigures. To date I have 28 of these cases, as a mixture of the 8 and 16 variants dedicated to my Lego Batman and DC Superheroes minifigure collection. And I have no issues recommending them for a dedicated display option because: They look fantastic. There is a good range of colours (but a nice green or yellow would be an excellent addition). They stack (be sensible with the height and surface though). They include holes in the back for wall mounting/additional support. Minifigures displayed with accessories are protected from knocks, bumps and snagging on clothes. And they keep dust off!
I have several of these on my wall. They are a sleek looking and convenient way to display minifigures. My one complaint is that you don't offer a display case that fits 12 minifigures (you have sizes for 16 and 8 that I'm aware of). If you're going to do collectible minifigure sets of 12 (such as the recent Marvel set or the Muppets set) it would be nice to have a display case that size. I would love to be able to display my sets in full without mixing them!
WGreat Lego mini figure display case. Pricey for what it is, but great way to display your Lego mini figures.
This is a cracking case for displaying lego minifigures, it allows you to see both front and back of the figures inside. However, I do have a number of negative observations: The First being that for some of the minifigures the size of the compartment is too small to get the best out of the figure for example the Airplane guy or the Octopus lady in fact a lot of figs with tails etc. The Second point is the number of compartments 16 this was great when the minifigure blind bags came out as t there were 16 figs in a set. We have since had sets with 20 or 12 seems to be the norm. 12 figs in a 16 compartment looks silly. and to buy a little and large display case to display two sets is an expensive way of displaying figs. The third is the price, it does seem to be a tad expensive. I bought a large display case that is compatible with lego for less than half the price, there is even an option for internal LED to illuminate the display. I appreciate it is not lego, but it is the figures that are important. All that said I do prefer the original display cases, but long for a 12 fig display case if we are to continue with 12figs in a minifigure set
Anyone collecting minifigures will look for some way to display them. There's various third party cases available, but the official one seems to be one of the nicer looking ones. I bought several of these at a discount. The retail price is slightly too high for me, especially for displaying inexpensive figures. The first thing I noticed when I looked at the packaging was that this product is not really manufactured by Lego. Instead it's made by some company called "Room" located in Copenhagen. So before putting your figures inside, you will first need to open one or both of the plastic doors. To my surprise these doors felt really flimsy and would not always open easily. I actually had to put some force on one of the doors before it would finally open. There is only a very small handle on each door so this is not easy! I can imagine kids being unable to get it open. Once you finally manage to open the doors you will notice that there's a 4x4 plate for every one. This is nice because it allows you to display regular figures (i.e. not from a collectible minifigure series) without needing an extra plate. However, the main purpose of these cases is to display collectible minifigures. It even has a little drawing on the package of several example figures, all from various collectible series. This is where you'll get in trouble if you want to use the little black plates that come with those figures. Each compartment has two ridges on the side to allow you to slide a plate in place. The best way to align all figures nicely would be to push the plate all the way back. This is also the best way to keep the figures in place. However, some figures have tails or other things which make this impossible. You also can't stack them on top of the 4x4 plate that comes with them because there isn't enough room. It would have been better if they made it so that every compartment had a Lego compatible surface without any of the ridges. That way you could just put your figure on the surface or put your own plate on top without being bothered by the ridges. Oh before you fill the case you should consider where you want to put it. The case has a couple of holes on the back so you can easily hang it on a wall, which is a nice touch. Putting the case on a flat surface is also an option, but it's not very stable (they fall over easily). About the Lego-like studs on the top: these allow you to stack several cases on top, but in practice you will not want to do this. The studs do not actually work like real Lego studs. By that I mean they do not click in place. If you stack two of these on top without putting the thing against a wall it will fall over real easily. All in all I think this is still a nice way to display your figures, but it's not perfect. And for the high price I would expect something of slightly higher quality. It is a good looking case, but it definitely has some design problems.
