[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son received this from his friend for his 7th Birthday. He and his friends love ninjas so he was very happy with it. It goes with his other ninjas from his Lego magazines. He found it not to difficult to build.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids are so pleased with this set. It is from a awesome new range, that merges physical bricks with the great range of TV shows and movie- Ninjago. This playset is so much fun. The set was straight forward to build , I had to help them a few times , but the instruction booklet was incredibly clear and each step was carefully shown. I think even beginner builders would have no trouble building this model. The final dragon absolutely exceed their expectations , very bright colours too. When built, the dragon is bigger than expected from the size of the box. The structure is quite sturdy , so doesnt fall appart every time you pick it up. A Perfect set for Lego Ninjago fans !
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son loves Lego Ninjago. It took him about 2 hours to build it (he is 8) was easy and straight forward instructions. He really likes the snake minifigure. Great set for the price. Great for anyone that loves Ninjago
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this for my seven year old son who is really enjoying building with Lego at the moment. Seemed like a challenging little kit at first but by the time he had gotten stuck into it he had pretty much finished. Required very little guidance from me which was good. I would imagine a newby lego builder may find it difficult with the small pieces of lego. But if your kids had some experience with Lego in the past then this is a great little set to get them flying solo. Ninja-go sets are also really attractive too. Looks great in the display cabinet.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 7yr old is a big Ninjago, he was delighted to receive this set. We love Logo and have many different sets but this is definitely one of the favourites. He likes that it is different to any of the sets he has had before. The dragon figure is so cool. It took him approximately 90 minutes to build it total and needed minimal assistance. It gave challenge but not so that it was too difficult and he was unable to complete it or lost interest. This set is perfect for a 7 year old that is confident with Lego. As always, the instructions were clear and the lego in labeled bags. The box is very appealing and shows exactly what the finished product will look like. The Hydro Mech is 17cm tall and has moveable limbs. The pincer arm is very cool. It comes with two figures and accessories. This set perfect for a child 7+ years that enjoys Lego and likes Ninjago.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My children are huge Ninjago fans so this new Hydro range is perfect for them. They had seen the range in the Lego magazine so we're very excited to get building this one. With two characters and the vehicle Lloyd sits in this has been a big hit with a lot of hours of play so far. Will be buying more in this range.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While the Ninjago range has been around for a number of years now, it's taken until 2021 for it to go underwater. This has created a whole range of new building opportunities including this battle set up between Lloyd and a guard. The scene set up here is interesting thanks to the premise of underwater and brings something a little bit different to the standard robot fight. The actual build that needs to be done is relatively straightforward but interesting nonetheless with a few different techniques employed to get the robot to stand up and put all the armour in place. It's mainly standard pieces but there's a few in there that along with the mini figures may make it more interesting to collectors too. In terms of playability you've also got plenty of moving parts and potential to combine or mix it up to build something different. Overall then, this makes for a good variation on the standard Ninjago theme and an interesting build.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As my child is a fan of the Lego Ninjago series and toys, this set went down very well! Aside from the usual brilliant Lego quality and instructions, it is a really nice set to play on its own or with the other Ninjago Lego sets. The main suit is really cool and great fun to build, with 360 turning hands and as a bonus it comes with 2 scuba themed Lego figures. All in all a great set and plenty of fun!
Great set with cool min figs!
I picked this mech up for a rainy day build and it was a lot of fun to put together! The mech looks great for the most part, with really cool details, enough limb variation to keep things interesting, and a really great reimagining of the airplane tail component. The Minifigures are phenomenal as well, with the scuba Lloyd and snake person (?) really looking next level. I think this underwater race might have my favourite Ninjago monster designs ever and I hope to collect a few more sets from this theme. The only downs about this set is that the feet are a little fragile - more of a problem for younger kids who will stomp it around - and I feel like the sides of the legs and the back could have a bit more of a refined finish. However, this is more of a display quibble and my four-year-old has been having a blast flying it around and pinching minifigs with the claws. For the price I'd say this is excellent value whether you're a diehard Ninjago fan or are just bored and want to build a cool robot. This year's lion 3-in-1 Creator set uses the same deep yellow, so I used parts from it to bulk up my mech and I must say it looks smart!
