(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This is the first Lego Helmet that interested me. I'm a fan of Dark Troopers and decided that this might be a fun project to build and modify. As an adult the build was straightforward but satisfying. After completing the build I added my own Dark Trooper minifigure and some DIY LED lights to achieve the final look.
This guys looks make a statement. It looks mean for a Lego head. The build is tricky, some elements are fragile and will come apart due to how the instructions guide the build. After a couple mishaps I modified how I put it together and all was well. Love how it looks on my shelf, loved the engineering that went into it, and would recommend this helmet to any collector of the Star Wars heads.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Since most of the bricks are black, it was a challenge to build this Helmet, but it was great fun. Took about 2,5 hours I will absolutely reccomend this to other Lego fans.
The dark trooper was a extremely fun build I recommend this collection to anyone who enjoys starwars
Really enjoyed putting this model together. Love how the studs are in every direction. The downside to this model is how it attached to the stand. The helmet is quite unsecure from the base, it reallys on a 4x4 stud section. Unlike previous models. Again with these sets, I found that some smaller pieces have been used instead of a large piece, for example two 2x2 instead of one 2x4. So it didn't need to be as many pieces, but I guess it doesn't sound as good with less bricks.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i have become a lego addict i love lego! Star Wars has become one of my favorites. I will soon have all the Star Wars helmets. I only need Dart Vader and Stormtrooper
Once again a decent build within the helmet range. Not my favourite helmet due to the character rather than the product but still looks very good completed and displayed
Not one of the best start wars lego helmets from the collection but still very cool. Pretty easy and quick to construct but I just love racing through it to see the final build. Looks great and is a must have for the full collection.
This helmet is a nice compliment to the other Star Wars helmets. When complete, it's very sleek and aggressive looking. There are a few parts that tend to fall off during the build as others have mentioned. One piece in particular is around the neck area. There is no direct way to snap the pieces together and really does not fit he normal quality of Lego. The mouth piece is also not very secure and came off multiple times when trying to assemble it to the head. Given that I have done every other Star Wars helmet and have no issues with them, this was a bit of a surprise. In the long run, as long as you are not moving it around, it's not a huge deal, it just did not meet the standard I have come to love of my favorite hobby. Still love it and looks awesome with my collection!
So I've waited 3 days to bulid this after my birthday, as it is a present. Was happy to begin but by the last bag, the pieces are not going in, making the build fall apart, and the introductions don't help with the angles. I get that the Dark Trooper helomet might have been hard but fun for the designers, but it is NOT fun for bulding by collectors, I'm supposed be able to relax, not get frustrated because a designer decided to make a horribly made set, the head is basically hollow, inloke the Boba's helmet which has an actual structure. On top of this, no pun intended, the way it makes you build while its on the stand does not help with the angles either, the helmet should not go on top before it's built. Not worth the frustration, tbh.
