LEGO Star Wars Imperial Shuttle 75302 Building Toy (660 Pieces)

It's been a long time waiting for the day Lego would make another Classic Imperial Shuttle. I just received it. I know all about it. I've seen it online. I've seen it being built by those who have reviewed it and build it live. Yes it's smaller, no you can't and shouldn't compare it to other shuttles that were made by Lego. I'm just happy that Lego finally made another one, midsized, and affordable. I don't own one, so should you. Perfect for kids to play with. Perfect for displaying it, Classic Shuttle to behold. My prayers were answered. And now I'm going to take my time building this one. No rush.

A good build with both simple steps and construction, and much more complex techniques that will challenge, and educate on engineering. I do have a slight issue with the brick colour, as the majority of the build uses the same creme coloured bricks used in 75301, Luke's X-Wing, rather than a grey that the box artwork implies, and the in movie actual model. The lighter bricks do show off the complexity and detail though. I believe anyone ages 10 and above could build this model. I would suggest pairing this build with the above mentioned 75301.

The imperial shuttle is one of my favourite ships in the Star Wars universe. Sure, it's never destroyed a space station, taken on the Millennium Falcon or floored an AT-ST. But it was used as the personal transport for Emperor Palpatine and numerous other undesirables, normally accompanied by an ominous Imperial March soundtrack, and as such had to be added to my Lego collection. This Lego kit weighs in at a hefty 660 pieces and build time is 3-4 hours. There are those that will criticise the repetitiveness of the build as the two wings and tail take up a large proportion of build time as they make up about two thirds of the ship, more then any other Lego model. But these parts don't just look great once finished but are also really important for flying, something critics should dwell on next time they take a commercial fight. Once completed the ship not only looks great but offers some of the best playability featuring an opening cockpit, an opening passenger section with space for two minifigures, two stud shooters and the famous wings which move up and down for landing or flight. Not bad at all for what is essentially a passenger ship. The set includes three minifigures: an Imperial Officer relegated to piloting duties, plus both Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker including lightsabers and a set of handcuffs for fans to recreate Luke's capture in Return of the Jedi. It's a nice surprise getting both main Jedi's from the film series although it would be even better and probably more appropriate to get an Emperor Palpatine. Overall this is a great set. A challenging build with great detail and a strong selection of minifigures which fans will love to add to their collection.

i love this set it is so cool and the playability is very good.it is awsome next to my tie fighter and my imperial armoured marauder.

The build it self is so memorable from the back get up for Luke and ofc the ship! I got it when it was on Sale and fit perfect in my collection.

This is my first imperial shuttle I have ever owned. The cons: no control panel for the pilot, on certain angles the gap under the cockpit is big, wished there was one more mini figure with the set. Also no arm printing Vader. Pros: pretty close in appearance to the actual shuttle although the scale is a bit off but it's expected to due to the price point. Cheaper way to get Darth Vader and a shuttle if u don't own any previous shuttle. Looks great on a stand in flight mode. Easy to put Luke and Vader inside the shuttle. Overall the build was enjoyable. The figures were not bad. For the price just wished they had another figure or the arm printing Vader. Still recommend to anyone who doesn't have any previous shuttle and would like to get one on a budget.

Just finished the Imperial Shuttle and it's not a bad model. I took my time at 3 hours, and it was a good build. The attachment of the wings was tricky but it does go together. Otherwise the build is fun and some great techniques. The folding of the top section to access the interior is well done. I did not like the gaps in the nose that show the black under workings, but as this is a bit cheaper set you get what you pay for. Looks great on display next to my TIE Fighter and overall I say get this set if you don't already have an Imperial Shuttle.

The box came with creases galore, and a huge shipping sticker that ripped off the front printing of the box. this made me not want to buy legos from walmart. I've still yet to build the lego however

They sent me a damaged box, to a star wars collector the box is important. There is no way someone who boxed it would not have missed it.
