This set was incredibly enjoyable to build and play with. It features clever building techniques, an effective color scheme, and an overall visually appealing design. While the minifigures are unique, they don't make a significant statement. I eagerly anticipate seeing this ship in action in Skeleton Crew

Absolutely amazing build. So much fun. Very easy to build, relaxing yet challenging enough to keep you interested. Lots of Technic parts which were my favorite part of the build. The mini's are awesome! Neel has to be my favorite. I would have bought the set for him alone. Great build. Thank you, LEGO!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had such a great time building Lego The Onyx Cinder with my 6-year-old! This set has a lot of pieces and can be a bit tricky for younger builders, so parental help is definitely needed. However, that just made it even more fun to put together as a team. Each section is packaged in its own bag which is helpful when putting together. The details on this set are amazing—so many little features that make it extra special. It's a fantastic build for anyone who loves detailed Lego sets and enjoys the process of building together. Highly recommend!

This set was so fun to build and play with, honestly. Smart building techniques, effective colour scheme and overall a good looking set. The minifigures are unique, but are not something to stand up and brag about. I look forward to seeing this ship in action in Skeleton Crew.

I bought this set purely for the aesthetics... I am a big fan of science fiction and love this asymmetrical spaceship design and just had to add it to my collection. And honestly the finished product does not disappoint. It looks fantastic, and the build? It was really very surprising because the whole ship is incredibly over engineered using a lot of technique pieces in very interesting, unusual, and innovative ways to create a very solid structure. The build honestly felt more like a UCS build than a standard Star Wars for kids build! It was a very enjoyable experience, and the finished product looks great and is incredibly rugged and will withstand swishing and swooshing no problem. Which brings me to possibly the only minor downside of the ship. Who is it meant for? The show it is based on seems to be for younger children, pre-adolescents, but this ship is definitely not for that age group to build - at least not without a parent to help with most of it! That said, I can see it being great fun to play with and the minifigure selection is very good and they all look great too. Just not for me... I only really wanted the ship! I'd recommend this if parents are prepared to do most of the building because I think kids would love to play with it. And if you're an adult fan who is looking for a challenging build with a great looking final product, then I would also recommend this for you.

This was the Lego building set my grandson requested. Unfortunately I missed the delivery but was able to pick it up at the FedEx location nearby on The Hihh Street. He was delighted with the gift.

This is one of the Star Wars Lego sets I was talking about that has several price fluctuations. I saw it for $********* then 5 hours later I went to purchase it and the price changed to $********* so I decided to wait for the price to go back down. It never did and I ended up buying it at $*********. When the package arrived at my house the item was NOT IN A SECONDARY BOX, the box was laying on the wet concrete in front of my door, the shipping labels were stuck on the original box which is a collectors nightmare and the entire corner of the box was crushed (exposing the inside of the box) and halfway wrapped with packing tape. I am a collector and tried to return the item but due to the very limited availability (manufacturer is about to retire this set) and the price had increased after my purchase, I decided to keep the item. Walmart.com issued me a $25 gift card for my inconvenience. I appreciate the gesture and will continue to order through Walmart.com. Still not happy about the box condition.

My son / daughter enjoyed the show however they were upset that SM33 (a key character in the show and crew member) wasn't included in the set. I don't understand why this was the case as its like having the millennium falcon without chewy. Aside from that, the ship is not so attractive and rather laborious to build. There are much better play experiences out there at this price point.

This was to be a Christmas gift for my son who collects Star Wars LEGO sets. It arrived with a large tear on the front of the box. I hate to give it as a gift, but there is no time to replace it. My son keeps all of his Lego boxes so this is very disappointing.
