My Grandson loved this LEGO I was worried because it was for adults and he is only 9. He had it completed in an afternoon and I thought it would take days.
The Stormtrooper was my first 'bust- build'... It was thoroughly enjoyable and the way it connects to the stand makes it safe to move around. The eye-pieces were a little fiddly at first but they went together well. I really do like this one but the Tie Pilot is my favourite. I do feel that the busts do miss something though. A minifigure to accompany the build would have been a smart touch, much like the BB-8. However, Lego advocates the use of imagination so I added one myself. I highly recommend all three builds and I'm seriously looking forward to the Iron Man release.
A good fun build, looks fantastic too. I was particularly impressed with some of the details and how they managed to shape the helmet. Would be nice to potentially see a First Order one in future too!
I have purchased all three and decided to start with the Stormtrooper Helmet as I figured it would be my least favourite of them. I was pleasantly surprised to find the build itself extremely satisfying. The attention to the small details and angles of the helmet as it goes together is something that Lego has done very well. Overall very sturdy and the finished result had me extremely happy. The picture doesn't do the end product justice. If this one was supposed to be the one I wasn't going to like I can't wait to start the other ones! *SPECIAL NOTE* make sure to put the stickers on the sides of the 'nose/mouth' as close as possible to the corner and NOT in the centre of the piece so that the printed pattern in the middle flows directly on to the sticker. It makes it look 100 times better and almost makes the sticker invisible. Hope this helps.
After years away from anything close to Lego bricks, i picked this set up from an local store. And it was a real joy to build! I am sure i will get the other sets in this series as well. The design is realy good, its pretty easy to build and the instructions are thorough.
I really enjoyed this build. Lego magic and amazing engineering make this model fascinating to build and stunning on display. The challenge in the build is ideal for both a novice and veteran alike. And if you know a Star Wars fan who ever played with lego as a kid this item would make an awesome gift.
I have recently given up a naughty habit and replaced it with lego. This kit is so clever and the build so relaxing with easy to follow instructions. All pieces there with a few extra bits which is always handy. I have built a few brickheadz and this is similar on a bigger scale. The end result is just awesome - from a distance you wouldnt know it was lego. Definitely worth getting - looking forward to getting the other helmets :)
I loved building this product, some interesting techniques which aren't commonly used in lego sets I've built historically. I've read some reviews about pieces not fitting etc but I'm pretty sure that's just their poor experience I found everything fit perfectly if you follow the instructions. Great product, looks fantastic and I look forward to building the other 2!
It's like building a LEGO bricks head but 10 times the size. It was so much fun and I really love the end product. It is a perfect edition to my LEGO Star Wars collection.
Recently started building Lego with my son and got interested in building something more advanced and "for adults". I chose this set because of several reasons. Inte has a reasonable price tag to allow me to dip my toes into adult Lego, it would take me some time but not too Long, I love Star Wars and it looks cool when finished. Well, I must say that I was not disappointed! This is really something else than the Lego I remembered as a kid, much more advanced. I took my time and really enjoyed the process. I wouldnt say it ewas challenging but it demanded some attention at times. This allowed me to never really struggle to the point where I got annoyed but still felt satisfaction when it was done. For experienced builders, perhaps it's too simple, not sure. Now, I wish it would have been a little bigger, but at this size it will fit in most shelfs or on most desks. Also, since it's a symmetrical head the build got a tad repetitive, but that's just in the nature of it. This really sparked my interest for adult Lego and I will purchase the Tie Fighter Pilot to continue. I would definately recommend this to any novice builder or Star Wars fan!
