The age listed on the package says for 10 and up, but I got it to play with my 5 year old son who is obsessed with Lego Star Wars. With my help, he is pretty darn good at it:) It is a fun and engaging game that follows the movies pretty accurately! Episode I had 6 or 7 chapters we had to finish, then on to Episode II, etc. It is really a fun time spent with my son and the game itself is really cool.
I really enjoy playing this with my son! When I got it for him, the person at that store told me that I did not need a numchuk (spelling?) but it is easier if you have one. Now I can't find one. You can still play without it, but the numchuk allows you to use your force and to move around easier. So my son uses the numchuk while I use the remote, I drop out when I need to for him to get me through the level then I join him again. Get a numchuk or traditional controller (not the remote).
I have to admit, there are levels of this game that neither I nor my boys can pass. But it's done in such a way that other levels can be worked on and then you can go back to beat the others. My boys all love it, and even though they may not fully understand it, the 4 & 5 year olds do quite well with this game. And I enjoy playing it with them at all. It's a great game that can be enjoyed by Star Wars fans of all ages!
My 4 year old LOVES this game. On weekends he spends hours playing with it! I don't let him during the weekday because he goes to Pre-K and that goes first! I would recommend this game if you are a Star Wars fan! Excellent, I give it a 10 Stars not 5!!!
My 9 year old got this game for his birthday. He loves the game. It was a very good value because it also came with the Lego Indiana Jones for only $30.00. He plays it almost everyday.
I love this game. Of all the Lego games, it is my favorite. I've palyed it on the PS3 and DS and i love it on the Wii too.lots of fun for all ages really.
This was purchased for my grandsons aged 7 and 9.They enjoy the light saber swinging and it really isn't as violent as many games. The villians destroyed break down into their lego parts. It's even fun to watch them play.
finally a game that my sword fighting 4 yr old can play on his own! my son loves sword fighting and action but i was having a hard time finding a game that wasn't to advanced for him. this game is perfect! he can play w/o help and there is no blood or guts. when you "die" you just restart where you are instead of having to start the level all over again. not only is the game fun for him but i enjoy it as well and can jump in and out of playing w/ the push of a button! i would reccomend this game to everyone, especially to a parent who has a child who loves action but doesnt want them exposed to severe violance!!!!
A very fun game for all ages, good for the Wii's intended audience. If you never played the game on another console then this will be fun, but if you already own this game this is not needed. Multiplayer requires tremendous patience as some levels (pod race) are simply impossible in multiplay. Struggles with camera angles only add to the frustration. If you never played Lego star wars and are looking for a cute fun game then you'll like this. If you want a truly memorable experience go get Super mario Galaxy.
The picture and description say Star Wars for Nintendo Wii, but we got a Nintendo DS version. Super disappointing as it was a surprise for my kids
