[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love all the characters and how the house opens up! Really sums up the show super well. Just missing more stranger things sets (maybe even smaller ones) would love to expand and get one like the radio shack or something.
This set has been awesome to build! With an attachment to the show Stranger Things, the details in the house related to the show are so fun and greatly appreciated. The building process was honestly exciting and I didn’t want to rush through it so I did a little each day. Well done Lego, I look forward to displaying and cherishing this set!!
The building experience was phenomenal! It takes only three bags to have the splitting function work, so I couldn't help but pull it apart every 5 minutes to see how each chunk I built reacted. Though a little disappointed we didn't get (and never will get) a Derek and Murray minifigure. Also, a note to the minifigure designer: I will say, some of your choices for hair pieces (among other things) were highly questionable, and most if not all of the figures deserved at least leg printing, but overall, good job on the exclusive prints and molds.
The Creel house is an awesome build. The figures were a bit off but nothing a few changes could fix. I absolutely loved the build it was very interesting how it all came together at the end I was a bit skeptical on the breaking apart into sections feature I thought it may fall apart and I’d have to rebuild it but nope very sturdy. Now there is a down side Steve’s car and the Squawk radio van could have definitely been bigger I was hoping they were like the speed champions cars size but other than that very well worth the money. Especially the Vecna figure was so detailed and there an Easter egg I don’t know if Lego intentionally made it but Eleven was in bag 11. Anyway I hope to see more Starnger Things sets in the future but definitely would recommend!!
I really enjoyed building this, and it was very fun to play with in the end. Makes great decor on my shelf, and my friends all enjoyed looking at it. I started building this while rewatching the entirety of stranger things and that alone was a 5 star experience.
We typically build as a family and we all love Stranger Things. We take turns building so it's fun for all to know they had a part in the overall build. The minifigures are really cool, although we wish some didn't require the GWP (plus an Erica and Murray figure would be great but maybe part of a future release?!). It is a little on the expensive side, but just from the joy of my family building it, great experience and worth it!
The Creel House is a really impressive and creative build, especially the mechanics. Those truly stand out and are unlike anything I’ve built before. LEGO did a great job capturing the eerie Stranger Things vibe and the overall display is striking. That said the build does get a bit repetitive as you move from room to room, which can slow things down at times. Also, a few of the minifigures aren’t immediately recognizable without looking them up. Overall, though, it’s a unique and memorable set that Stranger Things fans will really appreciate, especially for the clever engineering behind it.
This was a very fun set to build but know that a good number of the pieces in this set are teeny tiny. Also, due to the mechanics of the house, some of the items can be a bit fiddly. My posts on the porch have come loose a couple times, and I had some serious issues getting the trees to work properly at the very end. Yes, the price is a bit high, but considering the licensing and the number of minifigs you get, it makes sense. Steve's car and the radio van are really fun and a nice, easy reward once the house is all built. This is a fun set to play with and display. I plan to make it into a neighborhood with the 3-in-1 Haunted House and maybe add other sets in the future.
Really interesting build, love the mechanics, hats off to the lead design team. But my issue with the set is it’s just too small. The only comparison set in my collection would be the Home Alone house, which in my opinion is the perfect size. This Creel home just feels too squashed and not able to really display the figures properly…. And if I were a kid, this would be hard to play with. I would be interested to understand the thought process here, was it due to the mechanics or price point?
Overpriced and not worth what I paid for. Such a frustrating and stupid Lego set to put together. Yeah it's also great that you can pull the house out, but if you want to have to constantly put pieces back together, then this is the set for you. Do not recommend. Save your money!
