[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Building this Lego Iron Monger figure was very rewarding, I've not built Lego in a good few years and this 479 masterpiece did take me a few hours. But what a figure you get when finished. The arms and legs move, both arms fire little studs and the arc reactor actually glows. You can even put Obidiah inside the Iron Monger. You also get Iron Man and Pepper Potts figures as well as Obidiah. The built figure stands about 7" tall and looks really impressive when built. Can't recommend this figure enough for any fans of the Iron Man film which kicked of the Marvel cinematic universe.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sons super into marvel so this product was right up his street. We enjoyed finding the pieces and building together. This could of been tricky had I left him to it due to lots of small parts. Hours of fun had once built.
First things first: this set is VERY movie inaccurate considering the size of the Iron Monger. However the figure selection and premise behind the set made it a first Marvel set I have bought in five years. This set is based off a very first MCU film's final battle and a villain in his suit of armor. In this case, the suit of armor turned into a mech that's at least five times larger than it should be. But It's easy to forgive once you get your hands on this set, if you didn't like it from the moment you saw it. Building was cool. I was genuinely impressed at how the thing came out and how relatively sturdy it is. Most standing out are the "hydraulics" connecting arms and shoulders and how they are able to move along with the arms without breaking off within a significant range of motion. My biggest issue are fingers which easily snap off and thigh plates that, again, fall off too easily as well. I don't like the gaps in the neck which expose the pilot and that the head isn't rotating. I appreciate the extra hairpiece and a bunch of accessories representing Iron Man's energy beams. Overall I can rate it 5/5 if we overlook the screen inaccuracies. 4/5 if it something that really bothers you. It's sturdy for the most part once you get a hang of it and its weak spots I have mentioned. Iron Monger Mayhem is a great set but, perhaps, Iron Monger should have been a larger figure like Old Thanos and we could have gotten some scenery builds?
I got his set because it had the old iron man helmet mold. But I was surprised at how good the mech was. (given it is a bit difficult to articulate at some angles) I am missing a piece. but not one too necessary in the build. I hated how many stickers were in this one. they were so hard to align.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow just wow. It is bigger than I thought. My son could not wait to get into building Iron Man, however his dad is away so I attempted to help. It took me forever. But if your a seasoned Lego builder I thing you'd get it done within a week. My son loves it and it's a good addition for imaginary play with his other Lego super hero's.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My little boy loves marvel and lego and this was a must have. He had hours of fun building it alone and absolutley loves it . It's great fun, does have a lot of pieces but I found that added to the entertainment he got from this aswell as the logo characters ! It's fun for all ages , not to difficult to build and the entertainment gained from everything about this product was everything. Excellent for any marvel/superhero lover be it older or young who enjoy making things. Great fun!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really enjoyed doing this lego set it was enough to challenge but not too hard that it would make you give up and once completed you can still have fun with it. The instructions are really easy to follow even with the trickier parts.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son absolutely loved this. We was busy for a few hours putting it together. We was able to follow the instructions and my son really enjoyed putting it together with a little help. Once it was assembled we was pleased that it can shoot and light up. Its now the first of many that we plan to build and collect
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So my oldest likes to collect lego sets he has the iron man head already so he wanted this one but mom always has to put it together for him lol. So I have to say directions are easy to use and follow but some pieces are more difficult to get stay in place. It took me a little over 2 hours to build completely
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fabulous kept the children and hubby Entertained for hours very intricate detail but very clear instructions also use the Lego app to help us out great product
