[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow wow wow I'm a big marvel fan and so is my nephew, so we both made plans this horrid wet weekend to get building this Lego guardian ship! He is 13 so just a bit younger than the age guide although technically only by 6 months. So he did manage ok, but he definitely needed some adult help (that's me…I think XD). It did take us the whole weekend to complete, but this is the first time I've ever done one of this size, so I really think it will vary for different people and their skill level. The instructions were ok, as a first timer I did have to read them a few times to get a full understanding of what I needed to do but that's ok. I love that the ship came with little characters and they didn't have to be purchased separately! That to me was a great feature! Once completed it feels pretty sturdy, although I wouldn't recommend it be played with, it's definitely more of a decorative piece. So my nephew is now happily displaying it in his bedroom! I stupidly didn't get any pictures of the finished piece before he took it home and I was concentrating too much during the build to take pictures! I definitely recommend this item though! Was lots of fun!

As a fan of the Guardians of the Galaxy I just had to add this to my collection. The build itself is pretty straightforward for an adult although there were a few sections that if you didn't take notice to where the pieces sat would have you scratching your head as to how the next section fits in. The kit is very solid and can be played with without fear of it falling apart. There is quite alot of detail inside the ship, a coffee maker, donuts and a screen with a picture of Garmorra. You can fit the figures inside but there isn't much room left over and you can't really see them. Both Rocket and the Chitauri soldier have guns but they make the figures fall over as they too front heavy. Apart from that it's an awesome build, very detailed and strong and being able to position the rear body and wings in different ways makes it look like in the movie. Love it!!

First of all as a fan of the Guardians series I was super excited to get this. It really captures the amazing aesthetic of the benattar ship in an impressive way. The large wing-span and the details inside and outside make this a glorious thing to display. Not to mention how cool the detail of the interior is when you pose the figures in there The structure is surprisingly solid with no risk of anything falling apart for the most time. You can easily swoosh it around and change the possisions for the different poses. The building experience was phenomenal and it felt like every piece has a purpose. Anyone could build this set and I don't think it gets repetitive at any point. Lastly the figures and mostly exclusive to this and they rock. Sad that we get no drax, really the only flaw here. The base is also amazing since it allows for a nice rotation and it's actually really sturdy. Easy 10/10 set if youre into this ship. It was really worth it IMO

This is possibly one of the greatest Marvel Lego sets ever made. I like the size of the spaceship when fully built so it is definitely worth the value of how much it is. I like the characters that are in the set apart from that drax gamora and nebula or yondu are not in the set. I would have liked to have seen these characters in the set as they have a connection to the spaceship. Where as the Chitauri minfigure does not have any connection to the spaceship. I think it was included so there was a enemy in the set. Overall it is a really good set and my only problem with it is the lack of Gamora drax and nebula, yondu in the set. I think that you should definitely buy the set as it is very good and compatible to play with other Lego Marvel sets.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When this arrived the box looked eye catching with a bold image of the finished model. Inside the bricks were laid out in a number of packets with an instruction booklet which was easy to follow. Following the diagrams in the booklet the model was built over a number of sessions with only a few problems experienced with the wings of the model. However the model when completed was able to stand unsupported on its stand and looked very imposing when placed on a shelf. I would certainly recommend this to those who have experience with models of this size. Some supervision would be recommended for those with limited Lego building knowledge.

This has got of been my fave marvel build yet! Built over a week while building a couple of bags each evening and was brilliant! Really solid build and watching it all come together made this one of the most enjoyable builds. Now among my collection this build takes centre stage on its stand and its sheer size makes you want to stare. For the price a must for any marvel collection.

This is one of the best Marvel Lego Sets by far. The only bad thing is that the interior is a bit narrow but still very detailed and the ship's stand is very useful, about the minifigures in this set. I really would have liked a Drax or Nebula Minifure instead the Chitauri Minifigure. The Rocket and Groot Minifigures are more accurate to the MCU Movies and that's great, I would like new arms more accurate for mantis and a new Hair Model Piece for Thor in this set.

This was a must by for me when I saw it released. A beautiful display model, not a model to play with though due to it's weight. It looks great on the display stand. The only reason why I didn't give it full 5 stars was I can't understand why Glamora was missed out of the set. It would have been nice to have the full crew. Loved the small easter eggs in the model and also plenty of extras too. All in all, I recommend this set to any Marvel fan!

The completed model looks very good. It's an impressive ship. However, the minifigure selection is a miss - no Drax minifigure is a huge let down. Also, after just a couple of years of sitting on a shelf, the stickers start to peel off - even though the ship was away from any direct sunlight and was not touched. This is not acceptable. Have a lot of old sets, even ones 25 years old, and the stickers on them are still solid, even though they were played with or even washed in water. Stickers on this set (and some others I have produced after ~2016) look really bad after just sitting on a shelf.

Had 2 issues with bag five. The Mantis headpiece was missing however LEGO support was great and is shipping me the part. The second was bag five also having a random dark grey 4x1 slope piece. Neither the steps for bag 5 or the sets inventory shows this piece. The set uses light grey versions but not a dark grey. Guess I'll use it as the Mantis hat until the actual piece arrives :)
