When I ordered this set I did not check how big this ship will be so it was a surprise for me to see that this has got a decent size and it is just a fantastic display piece. The stand and the ability to rotate the ship provides great versatility when it comes to displaying the set. The orange and grey colours are just looking great together. The ship is very sturdy and quite heavy, well built. I really enjoyed building this set, it has some great techniques. Great minifigure selection. One of the best Marvel sets, very happy with my purchase.

This is possibly one of the greatest Marvel Lego sets ever made. I like the size of the spaceship when fully built so it is definitely worth the value of how much it is. I like the characters that are in the set apart from that drax gamora and nebula or yondu are not in the set. I would have liked to have seen these characters in the set as they have a connection to the spaceship. Where as the Chitauri minfigure does not have any connection to the spaceship. I think it was included so there was a enemy in the set. Overall it is a really good set and my only problem with it is the lack of Gamora drax and nebula, yondu in the set. I think that you should definitely buy the set as it is very good and compatible to play with other Lego Marvel sets.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When this arrived the box looked eye catching with a bold image of the finished model. Inside the bricks were laid out in a number of packets with an instruction booklet which was easy to follow. Following the diagrams in the booklet the model was built over a number of sessions with only a few problems experienced with the wings of the model. However the model when completed was able to stand unsupported on its stand and looked very imposing when placed on a shelf. I would certainly recommend this to those who have experience with models of this size. Some supervision would be recommended for those with limited Lego building knowledge.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well, you definitely get your moneys worth! The ship itself is massive. It took more than a day to build which was great as it kept me very busy. It makes for an amazing display piece or if your brave enough a toy for the kids. I will say though it is heavy once built. The instructions were easy to follow and the box had all the pieces you need to make. It came with some mini fugues too including groot (my favourite).

Wow. What an amazing build. From start to finish, the whole experience was very pleasurable, and it felt like the most accomplished design i've had in my hands in a long while - the plates and tiles, how they fit together, how the slopes tesselate so perfectly in places - a joy to put together, with only a couple of fiddly fits that try your patients slightly. This is possibly the most screen accurate ship I've seen,and that includes most of the Star Wars stuff. If I have any niggles, then yes, it would've been nice to have the insides wider and get to seats side by side in the cockpit. Yes, there isn't the escape pod on the back, but to be honest I don't miss it and struggle to see how that would've been possible on this build. Most of the minifigs are excellent - new Star Lord, Rocket and Groot especially, and the new torso on Mantis is also good. New Thor is a nice addition, though not strictly necessary. The Chitauri really isn't necessary. It would've been better to include either Gamora or Nebula, as well as Drax (although perhaps Drax IS there, but standing so still he's impercievable?) All in all an excellent set, highly recommended

First of all, this set is amazing. The amount of detail is outstanding. The interior is great but small. The only thing I dislike is the choice of minifigs (Is the chitarui really nessecary?). The stand looks great but there is no informative plaque. Overall a great set 8/10

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow wow wow I'm a big marvel fan and so is my nephew, so we both made plans this horrid wet weekend to get building this Lego guardian ship! He is 13 so just a bit younger than the age guide although technically only by 6 months. So he did manage ok, but he definitely needed some adult help (that's me…I think XD). It did take us the whole weekend to complete, but this is the first time I've ever done one of this size, so I really think it will vary for different people and their skill level. The instructions were ok, as a first timer I did have to read them a few times to get a full understanding of what I needed to do but that's ok. I love that the ship came with little characters and they didn't have to be purchased separately! That to me was a great feature! Once completed it feels pretty sturdy, although I wouldn't recommend it be played with, it's definitely more of a decorative piece. So my nephew is now happily displaying it in his bedroom! I stupidly didn't get any pictures of the finished piece before he took it home and I was concentrating too much during the build to take pictures! I definitely recommend this item though! Was lots of fun!

The Benetar is the guardians second ship after the Milano was destroyed in the second film (they really needed to have a bigger ship for that many guardians to be fair!). This is a really fantastic build, way better than the Milano which I also have. The stand is also a great addition, it's really sturdy and allows you to display the Benetar to it's best effect (you can turn it through 360 degrees), especially if you want the wings all fanned out. As others have mentioned the only two possible niggles are firstly the interior, which I agree is small, but I really don't see what other option there could be other than making it a much bigger model. They've still managed to fit nice details in there like the coffee maker. And secondly the mini figures, where you have a Chitauri, yet are missing key guardians like Drax and Gamora. Drax and Gamora both came with the Milano, so I've managed to mix and match mine to get a full complement of Guardians, but Nebula for example would have been a welcome addition rather than the Chitauri. In terms of the ship itself though I really can't think of anything else to say to fault it, it was a fun build, looks great on the stand, and very close to the original ship design. I removed the flat pieces from the base so I could have the guardians all stood underneath the ship. A separate plaque with the base or somewhere for them to be easily displayed would have been good but this works for me.

This detail of this set is amazing and the size of the ship is just right for display, although I don't think the build is robust enough to be played with. Loved the minifigures (except the chitauri), but was really disappointed not to get Drax or Gomora - I can only think this is because it is based on the ship's use in the Avengers movie and not the Guardians of the Galaxy movies. Also, while the coffee machine and donuts are cool, I would have thought it more appropriate to to include the cassette player for Awesome Mix no. 1. Small gripes that don't spoil an enjoyable build!!

Had 2 issues with bag five. The Mantis headpiece was missing however LEGO support was great and is shipping me the part. The second was bag five also having a random dark grey 4x1 slope piece. Neither the steps for bag 5 or the sets inventory shows this piece. The set uses light grey versions but not a dark grey. Guess I'll use it as the Mantis hat until the actual piece arrives :)
