LEGO Super Mario Adventures with Luigi Starter Course 71387 Building Toy Playset (280 Pieces)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the first time using a Lego set of this kind and I must say myself and little ones had a great amount of fun playing with it. It was easy to see that we needed to install the recommended App for build instructions, which I loved because it was much nicer to build it visually being shown and it meant less paper/packaging within the box! It was super easy to sync the gaming figure to the App. This set has already and will for a long while yet bring hours of fun and imaginative play. The sounds are fantastic, it makes you feel as though you are inside the original computer game of Mario! Highly recommended and look forward to purchasing the expansion packs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Welcome to the 21st ! this interactive Luigi lego is amazing, once connected via Bluetooth luigi becomes alive. The Lego set itself was quite fiddly to do so I had to help my 9yr old with it, but hey we love a challenge. once set up luigi can recongise when on certain blocks & makes sounds. The starter packs comes with a guide booklet & in different sealed bags. you do need to download the app , as well but once again Legos quality is still a hit! This is perfect for any lego fan, the best thing about this is that the kids can create their own courses so it makes them think about it and more fun than just following instructions from books.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As I kid I loved Lego and so did my eldest son. The kits over the years got bigger and better and now it's my youngest sons turn and oh my how things have progressed! The interactive aspect of these kits is fantastic and brings a whole new dimension to just building Lego. In the starter kit you get a quick start guide and 7 packs of lego plus a Lugi figure (this needs 2 x AAA batteries which are not supplied). You will need to download the lego Mario app from your devices app store. First thing to do is complete the build of luigi and insert the batteries, then download the app and connect Lugi via Bluetooth to your device/app. Once connected he comes alive (note he needed a couple of firmware upgrades and this took a few minutes to complete). He can recognise different coloured blocks and also tell if he is jumping etc. Also contain in the pack are several characters and surroundings like green tunnel and fishishing pole etc. On the app you follow the installation instructions which are very clear. Once you have built it all you can create your own courses and Lugi will interact as you go round and the idea is to collect as many coins as you can. If you have the Mario set you can connect Mario and Lugi together so they work as a team. There are loads if addon packs so you can make the course as big or small as you like. Speaking of which I need to now go and build our add on set which I will review once completed.

I bought for myself to build, also for my 3 years old can play after I build it. I think the Luigi one is much better build then the Mario one, I can also see some improved adjustments. But the app some time is confusing even for parents. But my 3 years old like to play with the app anyway. So I give a 5 star.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] you can get loads of the set to create bigger game circuits. The Luigi figure is Bluetooth & you jump him around the Lego to collect his coins, you can then upload your game circuit on the Mario app Which is so simple to install

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My sons loved this. They played with it for hours swapping and changing the courses. The sounds from Luigi were really good, just like the game. This is perfect for beginners, easy to follow instructions via the app. The photos include the Dorries Beachfront expansion set as well.

Got this set to give Mario his brother and to be able to play with my brothers. The whole scanning system is awesome and is so much funny to play with. I was sad to see there was no physical instructions, just digital, which was a bumper but overall, this is a pretty good Lego set.
